Thiemers Magasin is so far my favorite book store in Copenhagen. It has a cool selection of quality…read moreliterature in both Danish and English. A nice mix of both Nordic and more international authors. You can also buy a cup of coffee and chill out by the window. The owner/shop keeper is a very nice woman with excellent book tips, seems like she's read them all. Everything she has recommended for me has so far been very interesting and to my liking, the favorite being a selection of horror short stories. This is actually a very good place to get interesting short story collections, if you are like me and like to sometimes finish a story over dinner rather than read the same book for a longer period. Thiemers magasin is the perfect place to get your next read, some tips about literature that might suit your taste or just to browse for gifts. The prices seem fair. They also host readings and small literature related events.

THE place to get your posters to decorate your home, whether you're into vintage posters, nature,…read moreanimals or one of those kitschy Copenhagen "tourism" posters, this is the place to find it. The price is reasonable, and you can buy it with or without frames (naturally the framing is the expensive part of the price) and you can buy it in any size you want. It's quite overwhelming how many posters they have, I found it hard to navigate myself at first, but please ask the shop attendants since they know where to find what. Have patience though because they're mostly two of them dealing with tons of customers that mostly need help.

What a strange company…read more I ordered a framed poster in January. About a month later I had an email from a staff member apologizing for the delay and saying she would "get back to me". But, it's now April and she hasn't and I assume won't. Slightly worryingly, they have of course taken my credit card details. Maybe the store works well if you visit personally rather than order online. Certainly, their online outlet is truly hopeless.
