Wonderful theater! We were in town and happen to walk by just as a movie we wanted to see was…read morestarting. We really had no intention of seeing a movie while traveling, but the girls had been counting down to Mamma Mia's release and the timing just worked out so well I couldn't say no.
The kind man behind the booth saw we were in a rush and promptly sold us our tickets. He even sat us closer to the front (not in neck bending type seats, but the cheapest farther back seats) because those seats are less expensive.
He explained to us that our film would be in German and didn't have sub-titles but that there ARE showings of English films a few times a day. We opted for the German version because we thought it would be super cool to do this as Americans. It really was an awesome experience, one I was really happy to give my children!
The seats aren't reclining but they're larger than stadium seats and quite comfortable.
The venue is incredibly clean and I love the life sized Oscar statue and cut outs of some of my favorite actors scattered around. I've never seen this type of decor in a movie theater and really liked it!
The place was bright and light, which is also new to me in a movie theater. It had kind of a unique, futuristic type feel, which we loved!
An all around awesome time here!
It was the perfect way to cap off a night walking around this gorgeous town.
We parked up the street to the left of the theater. It's free and open to all after 18:00. There's also a magnificent Italian restaurant there, which shouldn't be missed.
Highly recommend for locals and tourist alike!
