While I was living in Greenville, I visited this shop every week for about a year. Between this…read morespot and East Coast Music & Video, my vinyl needs were looked after and most of my collection was put together from records bought at these two shops. There's a nice section of bagged records by the door that generally float in the $10-$20, range. The condition of the records usually lives up to the price tag, but it doesn't hurt to check. The real scores are to be found toward the back of the market, though. Thousands of records, none in bags, most selling for $3-$6. Really tidy and organized. It's almost overwhelming but not enough that you don't want to see if they have that one Talking Heads record you're missing. I highly recommend this section for anyone starting out buying records or looking to fill holes in their collection. It's mostly pop and rock releases from the 70's through the 80's but there's also a few stacks of country and jazz. There's also another section of bagged records back there as well, mostly new wave, punk, soul, and old rock 'n' roll. I always thought the soul and rock 'n' roll was a little overpriced, but I found some great deals in the new wave and punk sections. The folks behind the counter are great and I've struck up conversations with all of them at some point. They're very polite and helpful and have cut me a break on several occasions, probably because I spent way too much money there! All in all, a great place to shop. I've heard the stock hasn't quite lived up to the glory days I'm talking about in a while. Can't speak for that, just what I know. Highly recommended for a lazy Saturday.

A lot to look at, found a wallet I really liked. Even looked it up to make sure it was real,…read morethought i looked through all the pockets. It was marked $90. We went upstairs to look around. Twice had the lights flashed at us let him know we were coming down. Asked if I could purchase 1 item. Grabbed the wallet, went to pay he looked at me as if to say something, marked it down $10 then rang me up. I get out to my car open the coin area only to find the inside is coming apart glue and all sticking to itself. Seriously $90 when you know it is damaged inside. Least you can do is mark it as such. Of course nothing is returnable.
