Basic Fence &Lawn - Hope Mills, NC…read more Pros: Great install by crew that constructed my aluminum metal fence. Crew lead was very knowledgeable of his trade and corrected issues on the spot without delay. I was very happy with the install, quality and workmanship. Cons: The salesman or foreman ((Jason) needs work on salesmanship. Had to chase him down to pay for the job as he didn't want to drive back out to inspect the job after completion and did not conduct a final inspection. He didn't want to be bothered with presenting professionalism or positive approach to his company's brand. I had to ask for warranty information and data for the fence and warranty on quality and workmanship periods. If I had not ask. He would not had told me anything. Seemed annoyed that I expected him to be more business like and professional. Note: would use this company again, but would ask for a different salesman or Forman to conduct business with. 10k job Richard Hearne

He quickly assessed a leaking dishwasher issue that ultimately required all the flooring in our downstairs (and a few cabinets) to be replaced. The issue itself was unclear, but Clay's team came out, assessed and fixed the problem with the subfloor. The area where the repair was done required pulling back a large area of carpet in two separate areas, which met at a seam in the doorway. Clay's team showed me why this repair could result in a less than perfect end result, but I told them to proceed. In the end, the loose area of flooring was repaired and the carpet was stretched back such that we could not tell it had even been pulled up. I wish we had shopped around before hiring the Sod Man to do our lawn. There are uneven spots-…read morehighs & lows- in the yard, definitely not flat and smooth as promised. Also the owner is very nice but has poor communication skills, as we thought we were getting enough sod to cover at least the majority our lawn, because he stood on the edge of our yard and drew a line with his orange spray paint. But when his crew came and went, we only had about half of what we thought we had ordered which was a nasty surprise! True- we only paid for a thousand square feet, (although when measured after the job was done we only got 965 square feet) but the owner had given us the impression we were going to get more like full lawn coverage. So, very disappointed in that because if he had been more clear we could've made an informed decision. I wish he had drawn it out and been more specific as to what we were getting, but I feel like he only wanted our business. When we agreed to hire him he just left it at that and we never saw him again, just the crew. The crew did come very quickly though, and the actual shape of the lawn is nice. Just way different than what we had expected- and I definitely don't believe we would've agreed to pay $2,100 for what we got.

Beware of bait and switch. Like other reviewers, the owner was outwardly nice and responsive,…read morehowever not forthcoming. I called SuperSod to get some new zoysia sod installed on my front yard and this was one of the 2 that responded. I assumed they were vetted but I was wrong. They actually used sod and soil underlayment from another (unknown) provider when I assumed I was getting SuperSod grass. It did NOT hold up and immediately started looking patchy and dead throughout. Keep in mind this would have been my 3rd round with SuperSod where I had personal experience laying sod and NEVER had this problem before. Unfortunately this project was too large for us this time so we wanted to hire "pros." What a joke. He ended up crediting me back a portion and I had to redo about 1/3 of the front yard myself. Funny how dramatically different that area looks from the areas that he did. ALL of the yucky areas have been in the areas he originally laid and continue to this day. I would NOT recommend this company and would instead advise people to buy their sod and supplies directly from SuperSod and hire one group to do the tilling and possibly another to do the sod laying to ensure they don't try to cut corners. This requires getting the scheduling/timing just right but in this way you can control that each process is done correctly. The Sod Man also didn't even lay the sod correctly - staggered. They just slapped it down along the same lines all the way down. If I know that, so should they. There is simply no excuse for any of this. And yes, I am 150% certain this is all true. I personally verified with SuperSod that they did not purchase the sod from them and theirs was on a different base (SuperSods is on a more sandy base), SuperSod's sod was longer - I had to replace a lot of areas so could compare the two. Sad that you can't seem to trust anybody these days.
