When I spoke with…read moreMr. Marin over the phone he gave me all the different prices he had ranging from the cheapest to the highest price. When he got to my house he gave me a higher price that what he had quoted. I asked him why the price was much higher than what he had quoted and he could not give me a straight answer. I really needed to have my chairs reupholstered and ready for the holidays, so I agreed to the price. Not only my chairs now feel uncomfortable to seat on because Mr. Marin used a very thin sponge that goes flat when I seat down. I need to get up and walk just so that my buttocks don't go numb. He promised me a partial refund that I have not received yet. I have tried so many times to contact him, but he has been ignoring my phone calls and text messages. I regret doing business with Mr. Marin. I do not give him a zero star because that is not an option or else that is what I would rate his unprofessional business. Please take your business somewhere else.

Mr. Marin had already reupholstered the cushions and we made a March 2022 appointment for him to finish the couch by reupholstering the built in parts of the couch. To finish the couch, I spent about $400 to buy the fabric he instructed me to buy, towed my camper two hours to El Paso for our appointment, and purchased camping at Franklin Mountains to camp nearby. I texted Mr Marin two days before I headed to El Paso to let him know I was not going to miss our appointment for any reason. One hour before our appointment he called and said he was sick. I reminded him I had traveled to El Paso for our appointment so I would wait in El Paso for him to recover. He rescheduled to finish the couch in a week. I waited and camped for a week in El Paso to allow him time to recover. An hour before the second appointment his wife called and said he was still sick. She said he would call me to reschedule. I told her I had already spent hundreds of dollars to travel and prepare for the appointment so I would buy more camping to wait for him to recover. I purchased a second week of camping in El Paso to wait another week to accommodate him. After two weeks of waiting in El Paso for my scheduled March appointment, Mr Marin called and said he had recovered and was working. But he now refused to finish my couch while I was still in El Paso for our appointment two weeks prior. And he told me I would have to wait for months for a chance to reschedule again, perhaps in May. When I reminded him that I had travelled to El Paso solely for our appointment, spent hundreds of dollars on the fabric he instructed me to buy, plus had to buy two weeks of camping to wait for him to recover and fulfill our appointment. And that because my appointment was two weeks ago I should get priority to finish the work on my couch. He again refused to finish my couch while I was there in El Paso. The past year since March 2022 has included more appointments that were also cancelled, dozens of calls / conversations / texts plus a quote from Mr. Marin to finish the work. But always the same endless run around going nowhere. Mr Marin was extremely unprofessional with such callous disregard for an existing customer's time and resources. After waiting in El Paso two weeks for him to recover, Mr Marin should have finished my couch a year ago while I was still in El Paso for the March 2022 appointment he made to finish it. Thankfully a friend told me about Mister G in Las Cruces. Last week Mister G not only responded immediately but he also finished my couch in just ONE business day and did a beautiful job. Plus Mister G's quote was about half the price of Mr. Marin's quote.

I texted back and forth with Yesenia prior to coming to make sure they knew what I wanted and working out the timing of how long it would take. The seats turned out FANTASTIC. Pepe (owner) did an unbelievable job. I was able to drop my rear seats and front passenger seat off Friday morning, so I could keep the truck while they worked on it. Pepe had Adrian to come early to remove the seats so they could work on them all day. Saturday morning I came at 11am to let them remove the driver seat. They were completely done by 4:45pm and I headed home. I could not be more pleased with their work, and I feel like I'm driving a brand new truck. They are very honest, and I paid them more than they asked for because their work was worth more! Plus, they directed to a restaurant that had great, authentic Mexican food!
