I was having a huge baby shower for my 1st grand, and my original party rental company stopped responding days prior to the event. I was beyond stressed and super pressed for time. Luckily the owner Edgar answered the phone and agreed to help me, had everything I needed at SUPERBLY FAIR prices compared to dozens I'd spoken to, and he gave me a great referral for other types of rentals that I wanted. But aye aye aye he almost gave me a stroke cuz he stopped responding too. In his defense we'd been texting, he took care of me and all the arrangements by phone due to my extenuating circumstances; usual business is done onsite at their Gardena location due to the need for accuracy and so many moving parts, and he stays booked & is extremely busy so telephonic just isn't feasible. When we reconnected he assured me that "he had me", I was on the schedule for delivery and not to worry. His guys arrived 4-5 hrs late to set up the tents in the dark, but they kept in contact and did still show up it rained all that day so my pretty pink draping got dirty, they sloppily pinned the drapes, the seat covers only came in white & I wasn't told prior to but the pink reflected off the tent drapes and made everything look pink anyway, they connected the extension cords to the beautiful chandeliers wrong so we couldn't plug them into the generator that I rented just for that purpose, so at night we were in the dark using cellphone lights; I was super disappointed about that because he has the original classy candelabra chandelier and not that new cheap looking (to me) dangling crystals that most of the other rentals had & I had 4 or so it was going to add the perfect touch to our fairy princess theme...he did not respond to requests to refund either of the unused items, they didn't set up the tables or chairs, idk if they were supposed to, BUT they worked very very hard late into the night actually "sawing" the pipes to fit the tent/drape in our nonstandard sized narrow driveway. And the fact that I could rent green artificial turf and Chiavari Chairs at a fraction of the cost of every other vendor in America offset the short comings. So once all of my decor filled the space & everything was set up, it was absolutely dreamy and no one noticed a thing! Every single guest was in awe, said it was the most beautiful shower they'd ever been to and I was well pleased. So even though they were not "perfect", they were perfect for me & stood out amongst many. Edgar @ Ocotlan will truly try to accommodate you, come through in the clutch and save you in the process. Our event was next level gorgeous and I will definitely use Ocotlan again and I recommend them to anyone with caviar taste on a king crab budget because they're NOT cheap, just not raping you! A million thumbs up to Ocotlan part rentals!!! We were referred to them by a reliable family member and were not disappointed; we were extremely happy with their work! We met with them once at their store location to see what linens and supplies we needed. They were very happy to show us around and lay out sample arrangements. Throughout the planning process, we were in contact with Vero. Although we never met in person, we can confidently say that she is very kind, hard working, reliable, and such an amazing person! My wife and I planned our 300-guest wedding but it could not have been made possible without Vero's help and guidance. She made herself readily available through phone or text to go through the details of our wedding, many of which we overlooked and she helped us sort out. She was also very flexible since we had to adjust the number of chairs and tables a couple times. The day of the wedding, they provided the tables, linens, chairs, pipe and drape, tent, and plates. The delivery was prompt and they did an amazing job with the table setup (see pictures). The venue looked just as we envisioned it; it was extremely beautiful and elegant! Disappointed to say the least after $2,000+. I paid my full balance a month prior. I left my delivery service pending, I got a verbal confirmation my rentals could be delivered the day prior to the event. Later, I was told one of their trucks was occupied and would receive a partial shipment which was fine since I did call the same week to set a delivery time. The partial delivery was then an hour late so I waited patiently and they didn't bring enough draping material for the backdrop I had requested. I then set up a delivery for the following day at 6am but after multiple calls and texts someone arrived at 8am. I was told they were a different company who was contracted to deliver at 9-10am and not 6am. This company delivered some wobbly and dirty cocktail tables that didn't sit flat. I got the most dreadful chiavari chairs in the universe. Each and every single one of 322 Chiavari chairs was scratched and discolored. All of the "white" cushions were different shades of pure white-dirty white- stained white and all different materials velvet, polyester, satin, sheer, etc. I, the bride, had to place and tie each and every single cushion because I was told the chairs would come with the cushion already on (and they were for the actual 78 I got from ocotlan). I would provide more pictures but I was just too embarrassed and didn't want to have those type of memories. I wish I would of been told they couldn't fulfill 400 Chiavari chairs instead of giving me that crap. read more

This has been my go to place for all my parties. They are always on time and jumpers and linens are always clean. Recently they have gotten instafamous (good for them, really nice people) but has also gotten more expensive. Please remember to cater to us poor people who just want to throw our kids a little party!! A lot of their stuff now is for bigger fancier parties like home weddings and stuff like that. I still need to throw my kids parties con carne asada and piñatas, but now we need a theme (cause is it even a party of you don't have a theme nowadays?) please create a small party pack (I.e., jumper, 5 tables w/ linens, two curtain back drop linens and chairs) for a reasonable price. Poor customer service and lack of communication! I came twice to this place trying to get a quote for a event. The first time I could not get any parking at their location. The locations parking lot is so small there is barely parking. Once I finally found parking after 20 minutes of waiting for someone to move. I went inside and first thing I noticed was how dirty it was. I mean compared to Instagram and how famous they are I would expect it to look neat and organized. There were trash bags everywhere, it smelled bad, there was a mess everywhere and no one acknowledged us until we got their attention. I was quoted 3x more here than other party locations. So I agreed thinking they might be super good and reliable that's why it's so much after all they have good reviews and are popular on insta. I was then asked to text the guy later to confirm if they had tents and chairs available that day, but again did not fail to disappoint. I kept calling and texting about my events party stuff availability. The messages just said "read" never even bothered to reply or tell me "hey we have no availability". Took my business elsewhere and paid way cheaper and had reliable communication. I paid 400$ for fully tent 20x20 draping top to bottom elsewhere which looked way better than the ones they do. They had quoted me almost 500$ for 20x20 tent not fully draped just the top. If you aren't famous or known they probably won't care about your business as much! read more

The product quality that was delivered topped any that I've ever received, especially since there wasn't the normal slue of contracts and redundant paperwork that typically had to take place. We ordered from this place a few months ago. Our experience was awful, to start we were told we would be the first people to receive their items the day of event between 10/12 and no one arrived until after 5pm. No one called or checked in as to where our stuff is. I called one number and got a response saying that they would be there in an hour, an hour passes so I call again they said 30 minutes another hour passes and I call again they said for sure another hour this went on until 5pm! 2 of my bridesmaids missed the wedding rehearsal because of this terrible service. Then we get to the product, when the people finally arrived and started setting up they had forgotten to bring the correct size top! Then you pay for a set up and delivery and they just leave the tables and chairs stacked table cloths on the floor in a bag (so what exactly am I paying for). When we get to unfolding tables and chairs we notice that a lot of them are broken they are disgustingly dirty everything looks terrible. So we call them back and tell them we have a lot of broken chairs and a broken table, guy on the phone says we'll get them to go tomorrow, tomorrow? That's the day of my wedding, you really think I want to be setting things up on my wedding day? No! So my husband calls the other number on the paper and it's Veronica she sends the guys back to replace all the broken items. I mean don't you all check to see if things are working properly before they leave your warehouse? Very unprofessional! They left pins all over the floor the chandeliers were breaking. Needless to say I will NEVER book from this place again! We didn't finish setting up until midnight when we were supposed to be "first" for the delivery. read more

I wanted to post this review because I was very disappointed in the service this company had provided. We rented chairs, table cloths, napkins, jumped, and the table runners . The chairs we ordered were the white garden chairs and when they arrived 2 hours after the time we set chairs were very dirty. Aside from them getting 2 hours late they also forgot our table cloths , napkins and runners for 45 more min . I was very very disappointed in there customer service. We payed good money for there services and it was not worth what we paid to be honest. We will definitely not be using them again read more

Disappointed from my last rental. Furniture is not very well taken care of and he admitted it himself... when I asked ok then can I get a discount he's like "no". Ordered balloons to be picked up Saturday... of course I'm running around getting stuff ready, so I realize it's 4 o'clock. I look on here and see they close at 2. I call and no answer. Oh well. Next day, he says we waited for you I'm like "WHY didn't you call me instead of wait?" Common sense right?!! So I'm like can I pay for half or something, he called someone and they said "no we filled them up and you didn't pick them up". Really how much do balloons cost in retail bulk... like pennies? You could've just called me to pick them up!!!! Oh and yes they "forgot" to bring one ottoman, good thing I looked at my receipt or I would've gotten charged. Hired them to do my tent rental for my wedding . Very nice when ordering everything but after paying they were hard to get a hold of near wedding date. Tried to add some vines to my tent which I asked for a month before my wedding . Never got back to me . I had to follow up twice to get an answer . Left voice messages and text messages that went unanswered. Only after calling three consecutive days in a row did they answer . I asked nicely if my drop off time could be moved up to 3-4pm not only did he tell me it wouldn't be a problem but he also never even had my vines written down to deliver. So if I hadn't called AGAIN they wouldn't have brought them . Day of delivery they showed up at 7pm .. which was a 3 hour gap in the time they should have been there . Which basically ruined my rehearsal day . We had to rehearse with no chairs and no tent and when we started imagining how it would be laid out they finally arrived and we could not practice because we couldn't be in their way . I used Ocotlan for the first time via yelp a couple weeks ago for my son's first birthday and they were great. After searching for the best deals theirs were actually the best. The chairs, tables and the bouncer were similar to other prices but they definitely had a better deal on the canopy. The thing that got me was the friendly service when the guys dropped off the stuff the day before the event. We had car trouble and my car was stuck in the driveway and couldn't move. The guys tried helping with our car issue but unfortunately was stuck. I felt really bad because I knew the guys had a lot to deliver but they ended up coming back a few hours later just to set up the canopy. So thank you for not giving me a hard time for returning even if you guys had a busy schedule. Anyways I guess the only thing I can say is that I wished they delivered balloons because it's a pain to pick up 4dz balloons.
