I loved the idea of the scavenger hunt for "vendors" that were for more services around the area, I got to learn about some really cool businesses that I didn't really know about before. I love markets like this where you get a wide variety of vendors. I saw some favorites from other markets I've been to and discovered some new ones as well! My only recommendation would be some additional seating by the food trucks and other food areas as there were only really standing tables and some seating, but with how hot it was the extra seating even in the sun would have been amazing. A lot of people were inside millwork commons for the ac and sitting even on the floor just for a place to sit.

The Heartwood Preserve is vast and open, so it was very conducive to an event like this. There were dozens of food trucks and beers/drinks to try. And all of that is included in your ticket. The General Admission ticket is only about $75 and that is definitely worth it in my opinion, getting to try that many different breweries, food trucks, and restaurants. I was lucky enough to be in the VIP area, with the more "high end" vendors. (I actually saw Omaha Yelp CM Meg in there, love it!) The higher end options were Aperol Spritz, Laka Lono, Via Farina, Mahogany, and Maven Bar. Everything we had in there was excellent (the full meal basically from Mahogany?! Yum!) There were standing tables around in the VIP area, but they got snatched up pretty quick. The rest of the picnic tables and lounge areas were reserved by companies. I only mention this, because if you're an individual buying the VIP ticket, don't be thinking you can actually sit down anywhere. We were pretty fine with that, because once we were done having the VIP drinks and food, we definitely wanted to get out into the open area with the majority of the trucks and stands! You get a cute silver Brew HaHa cup when you enter, and this is what you use the whole time to get your samples of all the drinks. In that cup you also get two wooden tokens, to vote for your favorite brew, and I think they win an award. If you're not a big drinker, or you don't drink at all - they offer a Designated Driver ticket, so you can enjoy all the food at least. There are NA options/mocktails around too, that the DD ticket includes. I think that's for sure worth it just for all the food you get to try. Best of all, Brew Haha is actually a fundraiser and it benefits Habitat for Humanity, which I love. I'm not sure if the VIP area is worth the cost (double the price of GA) - but if it benefits Habitat, then maybe I'm ok with that. I definitely recommend checking out Brew HaHa at least once, to get the vibe of it and try so many awesome food and drink vendors!

Had a great band playing with more than 65 vendors from a variety of restaurants and breweries across several states. There were also 4-5 food trucks participating. One ticket got you access to everything and everyone received a Brew HaHa inscribed glass to carry around and try the different samples. A really great event.

UPDATE: August 2024 - VIP Experience…read more I attended Oulandia this year in the VIP area, so wanted to update with that experience. IMO It's totally worth it to do VIP if you want a more comfortable time at the show! I did the normal VIP, not the "Ultra VIP" (the Ultra VIP doesn't seem super worth it for the few things you get above the normal VIP). Some of the perks of the VIP ticket: -A special entryway and security pass through -Chairs and tables in the VIP pavilion (so no lugging your camping chairs in) -Overhead fans in the VIP pavilion to keep you cool, along with the shade -Your own private bar where you order your drinks (and can buy your tokens too at the same windows) -VIP bathroom trailers that are pretty high end and air conditioned -A special VIP viewing area that goes right up to the stage -A private food option for sale (it was Via Farina this year, not sure if it's different every year) Those were the big ones for me, but I might be missing some things too! Now the only two downsides I can think of to the VIP tickets: -It definitely can be expensive if you're paying for it yourself and not from a sponsor company or something. -You are a little "away" from the fun atmosphere of the crowd while you sit at your table in the pavilion (but you can join the crowd and then head back to the pavilion if you want to meet friends, etc) And in terms of Outlandia 2024 in general - I think they may have made a mistake having the two biggest bands on the same night (Flaming Lips and The Faint). The Saturday lineup was not as strong. I like a few songs from the main headliners on the Saturday lineup, but not anything near the two that were on Friday. Just my opinion, but I may be in the minority of thinking that. The whole festival didn't seem as packed as the past two years. I hope Outlandia keeps happening, because it is a fun festival with definitely some good acts each year!

Especially loved the asian truck had appetizers for $5 so made for a reasonable priced snack. Kind of a bummer pizza was only available in VIP.. We didn't camp, so can't speak yo that part of the event. A couple opportunities for improvement is the limited amount of information on the website and lack of hand washing station at the bathrooms (there was one at the food area but that was quite a walk). We weren't sure what would be allowed in, and since we took a ride-share in, didn't want to risk it. But chairs of all types/sizes and bags were allowed (we even saw people haul in with wagons and one group had a small pop up tent for their kids to get shade.

They are 4 and 7, and immediately the extremely friendly front desk clerk made me aware as nicely as possible, that these games are designed for kids 8+. I totally understood as lot of these games are violent, and/or phsycial with the hand tools. However, she graciously allowed them to come back and try some roller coaster rides, my son LOVED it, and my daughter liked it, but as she stated at the beginning these are for older kids so I wasn't surprised. I would definitely recommend coming here with kids in an older crowd. There are so many games and things to play. And clearly they're passionate and friendly, while it wasn't the experience we were looking for, I left feeling really happy we tried it out. I appreciate their customer service!

I was pleasantly surprised with how well aksarben showed up - I have never been to Maha before so I didn't know what to expect, but it was generously supplied with vendors, events, and other fun things to do. I loved the music and the way they were able to set up the amphitheater, they had great artists and everyone seemed to have an awesome time. There was such a variety of vendors you didn't miss out on any one thing -- from chalk, to jewelry, to lotions, to thrift tees, to skateboarding and a whole entire area dedicated to crafts and art thanks to mill work, there was plenty to do and enjoy!! I personally didn't go all day or in the afternoon time, I could see how you could spend about 2-3 hours here but anything more than that would've been too much for me. It a was a beautiful night and a great environment, I wish the Ferris wheel was open longer so that we could've gotten a ride but the line was as long as the street! They also had free water which was awesome to see how they were trying their best to take care of everyone who came. I was impressed by this event and hope to return next year!

Maha 2017 is in the books and absolutely my favorite Maha to date. Main reason I loved this year is getting to see Belle & Sebastian live in Omaha. The crew from Glasgow is one of my longtime/all-time favorite groups and their set was magical. Really fitting/beautiful how the sun set behind the stage as they performed. Also saw The Faint for the first time in probably a decade and had to get down and dance -- because when you see The Faint, you dance. The drag I took from some rando dude's (tobacco ;]) joint helped with that. Hey it's what you do at music festivals. Great times all around and one of the best annual events in Omaha!

And there was some really awesome jelly donut wrestling. It was sticky, sweet and full of pile drives, headlocks and jelly. The donut queen pageant was also pretty great. I heard donut jokes and saw a lady dressed up as a donut do some jazzercise moves to some groovy tunes. The best donuts were from Hurts Donuts, but Hy-Vee really pulled through giving away probably a few thousand delicious donuts to attendees. Great event. I'm sure next year will be bigger/badder!

It was a good opportunity to try things I wouldn't normally order or purchase. Definitely have some new ones I like! I'm not sure I had a favorite but all of them were enjoyable. One vendor had a cheese spread handed down from her mother that was really good! I wish I remembered their name but their product is sold in some HyVee's and I plan to pick some up today! The goat yoga looked fun although I didn't participate in that. They had some live music which was nice too. Didn't even take pictures as my hands were always full and I was having fun!
