We had an appointment for my 91 yo dad who had a bad cough and had 13 people ahead of us when we arrived. We waited about 15 mins, but the whole staff couldn't have been more attentive. Thanks to the security guard as well who showed concern from the minute we arrived. I'm confident in the future if we need to go back again. read more

Horrible! Horrible! Schedule an appointment two days in advance. Arrived 30 mins early and self checkin on the Ochsner App, waited over 40 mins pass my schedule appointment. After walking in to figure out what's going on. I was informed it was 3-4 wait which I was not informed before or after checking in! DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT COME TO HIS URGENT CARE. Short summary of my girlfriends visit: They had an extremely long wait time-- which is usually understandable, but not when there's only two people ahead of you. 3 HOURS in the waiting room is way too long. Staff were also dismissive and disrespectful. Hopefully they review their code of ethics. From other reviews I can tell that this is just normal at this place. I'm so disappointed. I have been to this particular clinic several times. I once thought highly good of this urgent care of Kenner, but this is the second time I have received mediocre and unprofessional treatment from treating doctors from this clinic; sadly to say! I checked in yesterday for Sore throat, headaches, and body aches along with fever. Upon telling the nurse practitioner my symptoms, she asked me If I have been seeing before for these symptom, so I told her that I had went to my Head doctor a week before for headaches and sinus congestion, but I did not have any flu like symptoms. She recommended for me to start taking Tylenol and Mucinex- DM, so I mentioned to her that I have been taking Alka-Seltzer Flue, Alternating intake of Tylenol and Advil for the past 3 days and I was not feeling any better. I asked if I could be prescribed something for my sinus and I was asking her and explaining my symptoms, as I noticed her rolling her eyes as if I was bothering her and taking too much of her time. I mentioned to her that the only reason why I had the strength to get up off from bed to get to the clinic for treatment was because my symptoms were not getting any better and if she could prescribe me something else besides what she Mentioned to take because I already had been taking such medications over the counter and was not helping. I made her the comment that I felt like I went there for nothing and she told me that she felt that she was taking to long with me! This is very unprofessional of her. The prior time, I went for similar symptoms and the Doctor that seen me said... I really don't know what you have because your symptoms are so weird. But I will Prescribe you muscle relaxers And take Tylenol. It is very sad to see that these clinics we are getting to for some kind of "treatment" are charging our heath insurance so much when I can get the same or better information from a pharmacist and not be charge for a penny for letting the public know. at the end of the day they mostly prescribe over the counter medicine so it is not really prescribing anything much rather recommending something! For these kind of character of doctors saying and being so unprofessional, it shows to me that they are either being overworked or in the wrong profession, and not honoring their oath to serve and protect the lives of their patients to the very best of their abilities. I went to get tested for strep and was told the wait would be two hours. I checked in, sat down, and waited. An hour later I received a call from a nurse triaging me because of the wait. After that call, I continued to wait. After I'd been there for 2 hours, the meds I had taken to keep my fever down were wearing off, so I pushed 2 chairs together and laid down because I was body achy and exhausted. The security guard told me I couldn't do that due to safety issues. I asked if there was a written policy about that, and if so, if I could see it. Security guard said she didn't need to show me anything written, I just needed to comply. I said I'd been waiting for two hours and was exhausted. She was unpersuaded. So I sat up. Then I put my leg on the chair because I was also there for knee pain. The security guard then told me I couldn't do that either. I told her I was here for knee pain and she had my permission to check with the staff, and that having it elevated helps relieve the pain. She said I needed to put my leg down and I said no. She then told me she was going to call Kenner PD if I didn't leave. I told her I had been triaged by phone an hour before and she said, "We don't triage by phone at this location." Then I took out my phone to show her my call history, which showed evidence of a call from Ochsner. Then she said that I was going to be thrown out for "cursing people out." I never did any such thing. I had been in my chair the entire two hours, other than when I went to throw away my coffee cup. This was an abuse of power. I then went to the urgent care in Metairie for treatment, after explaining to them what occurred. They asked me, "Oh are you the person they called the cops on?" I said yes, and the people at Metairie told me, "Every location is different so I can't speak to Kenner's policies, but we wouldn't call the cops on you for putting two chairs together. We don't have any policy like that. I will tell everyone I know not to visit this location. This was horrible. I was sitting there waiting and minding my own business. I've been at this location numerous times in the past and never ever ever had a problem. I really don't know what was going on with that security guard today, but she needs some additional training on not making up fake policies to substantiate her ridiculous demands. And if there is a policy, SHOW IT TO ME AND I WILL HAPPILY COMPLY. read more

My BF went here for dehydration. He waited two hours. They did not get any lab work (urine,blood work) on him and told him to go home to orally hydrate. When I called to see what the protocol was for someone who comes there for dehydration the lady told me it's the doctors discretion. She told me they charge $150 to see the doctor. I'm a nurse and this is pathetic. Someone came to you all in distress and this could have been resolved with IV fluids however, you all didn't even do the basics and get labs. This urgent care location used to be run by a different group, and it was okay. This is the first time I have been with the new group, and it was a great experience. The desk employee was incredibly warm and friendly, with a big smile. I barley had to wait at all. The nurse who took my vitals was just as friendly, as well as efficient. The same for the doctor. The information given and the exam were thorough but not tedious. I would absolutely recommend coming here if you are in need of a good urgent care. read more

I've come here several times and find the Doctors and Nurses both very concerned, helpful and informative. I however cannot say the same about the front desk. I almost feel like they must be rude and uninterested to qualify for the position. When I walked in the other day I was relieved to see a new face at the front desk, but just as my other visits, my brief exchange with her left a lot to be desired. Yuck! That's really the last thing you want when you have to go to the doctor, a bad attitude. Their care may be great (I was never seen), but DO NOT use their app or website to schedule an appointment! I scheduled the NIGHT BEFORE a visit and was told (very professionally) when I arrived that I was in the que behind 60 something people who showed up the following day when they opened. It is unfair that I scheduled the night BEFORE and was put behind the others who waited in line the FOLLOWING day. They said it would be 5 hours at least which meant they may close before they got to me. THE LESSON IS: just wait in line early in the morning and DO NOT use the app or website because you will be penalized for it! read more

Please don't visit the facility if you're looking for quality medical care. That was my mistake, The doctor ( and I use the term loosely) who saw me was unprofessional and uncaring, and had no respect what so ever for the patient. I know he did not even spend two minutes with me. When I did ask a question I received a head nod, duh/yea response...very unprofessional. I'm an RN and would never be so disrespectful to a patient. More importantly, he diagnosed me with "just a cold" and I had to see an ENT doctor to be informed I had sinus infection. MHM was a waste of my time and money and more importantly a detriment to my health. read more

I was driving to New Orleans last weekend and got a flat on the freeway. Just as I finished changing my tire, I slipped and cut the back of my left hand. I quickly grabbed the first old t-shirt I could find, wrapped up my hand, and did a quick search on my cell phone for nearby urgent care. MHM Urgent Care in Kenner was the closest place to my location so I immediately headed over, bleeding hand and all. When I got there, they checked me in very quickly, cleaned my wounded hand and got me all bandaged up... all under an hour. Unfortunately, I don't live in the area, and since this was a one-time injury, I probably won't be back; but nonetheless, for anyone who lives in Kenner, I was very pleased with their service and would highly recommend them. read more

I waited an hour and a half for a 10 minute visit with the doctor on duty, Dr. Ong. She barely looked me over, didn't review the form that they make you complete while waiting, and refused to listen to my symptoms. For example, she told me that my symptoms (headache, fatigue, pressure behind my eyes) were not possible because my blood pressure was not high enough. I guess she wanted me to have a stroke or heart attack to prove that my symptoms were real before she'd offer help. Her bedside manner is awful and she really lets you know that she does not care about you or your condition. She was very rude and told me to go to ER if I didn't like her response. I made a complaint to the MHM main office via Lucy (who was not much better than Dr. Ong), which was a waste of time as all Lucy did was tell me that she filed the complaint with the medical director at MHM Kenner. Lucy didn't even have the decency to call me back to tell me the medical director's response (if she ever contacted the director). I had to follow up with Lucy (almost two weeks later) only to find out that there was no resolution. read more
