The design is great, the service excellent, and it's my chosen spot to buy local food products as gifts. (Their shopping bag is sooooo pretty and way cheaper than any touristy shop!!) Every time I visit Porto, I stop first thing there to relax and can get out with a 10€-15€ bill for starter, sandwich and one or two glasses of wine. Please, encourage a local mercearia!!

Often times you'll be spending a high amount of euros for a tin of shellfish. But it's well worth it. The Cabo de Penas line is actually a good price performance value over their large selection. Razor clams are something I particularly love but are not popular where I live. Thanks to the Spanish, I can get some high quality stuff that is preserved and tasty!
