I explained to her my current involuntary account closure at BOA due to high risk business sector by the FDIC, in the entertainment industry. I wanted to open an account there and discussed my concern about coming up in early warning or chexsystems. She asked questions and answered them for me. She didn't let me speak or educate her on the business. She made her own conclusions and said she would discuss it with her manager and call me back. She never called back nor did she return my calls. Weeks later, I ran into her at this branch again and said "hey, so you never returned my call or called me like you were supposed to". She went on to tell me it was because her manager denied my request to open the account. Then walked away and whispered "I did call you but got your voicemail". Lies! She didn't leave a message either. I called the branch and asked to speak to the manager Rosa who indicated that she didn't deny the account, in fact, it was her back office. I asked how they denied the account if I never physically attempted to open one? I never provided any of my articles of incorporation. They were just discriminating based on being in the entertainment industry of music, television, fashion, etc. I also, walked in, and opened an account with someone else prior to this. So in speaking to Rosa, I told her I didn't understand bc I just walked in and made a deposit in my NEW ACCOUNT.

The branch itself is clean, well organized and clearly marked for the service you are looking for that day. You are always greeted by a friendly rep at the door to ensure you're heading to the right place or getting an appointment if you aren't sure. From mortgages to car loans or other banking needs, the advisors are always incredibly patient and knowledgeable. They understand your needs, provide advice or feedback, show you the numbers and potential alternatives, and then set you up for an easy checkout experience. They get you in acting like you're going to get a low interest rate on your car loans, they tell you interest rates from like 3.5% of 17% however they can't even tell you what criteria needs to be for what bracket of interest rates. I've never taken out a loan where they couldn't tell me what criteria you to meet to see if you even wanna do business with them. Technically you could have perfect credit and you can meet all the criteria and still get 17 percent interest rate if that's what they want to give you. It is a scam. Stay away from them. They lure you in on false pretense and then can't answer any questions which as a financial Institute they should be able to answer all questions. A car salesman could answer more questions about finance than their own financial institution can answer. They lost my business on that. Could've made a lot of money off my loan, I've been with the banks and their credit cards for over 15 years, I have a personal relationship with finance as well. So this leads me to believe that they have under trained staff. Ignorance is no excuse. For anyone who's reading this, in case you are unaware, as many people are, when they run your credit if you decide to not take out a loan with them, it will drop your credit by 20+ points. If you don't take the loan, it looks like you've got denied. Therefore them not being able to answer your questions properly could result in you dropping into a credit score bracket that you won't be able to get lower interest rates because they suckered you in. If you want to Bank with them, they aren't so bad they have benefits other banks don't have. But it comes the cost because there's only one location in the entire state of New Jersey.

I try to talk to somebody and I haven't received any response. I was placed in a Q with 120 people ahead of me and I'm still waiting for an answer.     My complaint is not directed at GSFCU but the company that they have hired for fraud. I have never…read morehad my account locked, ever by any company because Artificial Intelligence or someone who does not understand what transactions I have on my account. They have a company that is outsourced and there is a language barrier with the reps that I spoke to and they put the freeze on my account over Labor Day weekend and two other times after that because of a charge for $3.99 for a company that I have been doing business for over 30 years. I was out of town when my account was frozen, so you can imagine how frustrated I was when I was attempting to use my card at Dunkin Donuts for $9.00 and it was denied. I was unable to call the credit union, or the company that had been hired to monitor GSFCU accounts. When I finally reached the company, after the holiday then actually questioned me about my charges even though I told them that they were authorized by me! He refused, then he started going through my account and questioned me about charges that were none of his business. I felt that a total stranger from who knows where had the ability to go through my account and pick and choose what he felt was fraud. I no longer deal with GSFU due to this invasion of privacy!
