A little background: we have hunted before and are both well-traveled, especially my father--we went on two African safaris, for instance. All our expectations were either met or exceeded by the fine facilities and staff at Wynfield. First of all and most importantly, the people--from the administrative staff and general manager to the cooks and guides--could not have been more gracious, personable, and accommodating from the moment we first called to the moment we left. We very much enjoyed talking with Kurt and our guide Randy, in particular. Since it was my first quail hunt, Kurt let me have a free Wynfield hat to commemorate the occasion--and they didn't charge me when I asked to buy a Wynfield coffee mug, either. The food was excellent and varied, and bottled water and soda were always on hand (and, after the afternoon hunt, beer, wine, and cocktails as well). Cold water and soda were even available--and frequently offered--while out on the hunt. Our cabin was likewise more than satisfactory, with cable TV, mini-fridge, coffee machine, toaster, central AC/heat, comfortable beds, and delightful interior decorating. It was also spacious and clean, and they provided housekeeping each day while we were out on the hunt. As for the hunting itself, it was by far the best hunting experience I have ever had. The quail are plentiful, the guides are extremely capable, and the dogs are simply amazing. They are also very flexible and accommodating when it comes to the hunt--they told me, for example, how they enabled someone paralyzed from the waist down to hunt from the jeep (there are seats out front on the jeeps for the hunters and kennels on the back for the dogs).

She drove us to the main lodge and helped us with our luggage and our dog. She then went and got us dinner and we ate in the main lodge dinning area. We had the whole place to ourselves. Our dog(a big black lab) was allowed to run around the whole farm. He even went swimming in the pond. both Benji and Jenna are totally AMAZING hosts. Sundown Farms is beautiful place to stay and unwind and I am sure if you need something they will help you get it.

He's happy to help with anything at any time never makes you feel like an imposition. The hunting guides have all been wonderful. Every guide we have been out with was also knowledgeable and patient. All the dogs have been so much fun to watch. Mrs. Katherine and Mr. Tyrone in the kitchen are the best! They make incredible food and are so welcoming. We were there for work during a heatwave (over 100 everyday for the entire week) and it was a cool, calm oasis every day! The bedroom is very comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need and even the water pressure in the claw foot shower is great! Plus the location couldn't be better as you are in walking distance to all of the hot springs, restaurants and shops. We will definitely stay here anytime we are in T or C!

It wont even fill up the tub all the way with hot water. The tub is literally too big to keep the water hot enough to have a hot bath because you cant even fill up the tub and the hot water is gone. Dont expect to be able to take hot showers back to back The maintenance doesnt pick up dog poop everywhere They have had the pool closed almost the entire past year and it hasnt even snowed. The food is good, y'all! A lot of campgrounds don't have that much less a full bar! We enjoyed playing pool at the bar and the drinks are strong! We choose to have our dinner at Rosemary & Thyme, we had a wonderful relaxing evening as our pre Thanksgiving festivities Our evening was topped off with admiring the historic home of Susan and Kim's while sipping our evening wine in the dinning room. We had some tea too in our room. Our room was super spacious and quiet. We stayed in the Magnolia Room. The bed and the sheets were very comfortable. Susan made us an amazing breakfast! So filling! But so worth it! And the coffee was excellent! We hope to come back again and tour more of the local attractions! And as Kim recommended the Little Drummer Boy Museum at Andersonville is a first stop before heading to the historic site!

The shower was most excellent. Our hosts, Kim and Susan, were fabulous. The meals provided were extraordinaire.
