Whenever we visit my parents who live in Myrtle Beach we sign up for the week pass at this YMCA…read more It's really clean, well maintained and the staff are super friendly!! The pool is excellent and lap swim hours are perfect for my spouse, who is an avid swimmer! He's never had to wait for a lane. Dry sauna is also wonderful-coed in the pool area. A small amount of lifting machines and equipment but enough to get the job done! Might be a short wait on a machine you need to use but people do not linger on their cellphones at machine stations here. Clients/members are very respectful of each other. This Y also has a large parking lot. I also love that the dog park and paved walking trails are right next door!! Not much to view on the walking trail (ie nature/varied birds) but for hiking/biking it's perfect.

My son has been blessed with two incredible coaches- they have provided skills for the field and beyond, building strong leadership, accountability, respect and a genuine love for the game. The coaches go above and beyond to build bonds with each child, between team mates and even families. The organization as a whole is organized; the fields (and bathrooms) are wonderfully maintained. Choosing the YMCA for rec soccer was one of the best decisions I've made to develop my sons athletic experience.

I am writing this review as a warning to other parents about The Learning Station. My son attended…read morethis daycare, and over time, he became increasingly distressed at drop-off--kicking, screaming, and refusing to go in. At first, I thought it was just separation anxiety, but then I noticed a clear pattern--his reaction escalated whenever a specific male staff member entered the room. The day he saw this man and immediately broke down sobbing was the day I knew I couldn't ignore my instincts any longer. I brought my concerns to the daycare, and while they listened, they assured me they had seen no red flags. I expected this response, but as a parent, my priority is my child's safety. I refuse to take chances when my child is showing me, in the only way he knows how, that something is deeply wrong. So I pulled him out immediately--better safe than sorry. Beyond my personal experience, I strongly believe that a male staff member should not be assigned to classrooms with 2-3-year-olds who are just developing communication skills. Why not place him with older children who can express themselves better? This man is changing the diapers of little girls and boys and assisting with potty training. I'm not sure why the daycare believes this is a good idea, but I personally wasn't willing to risk my child's well-being. I am sharing this because I would want another parent to do the same for me. If your child is showing signs of distress at daycare, trust your gut. No one will advocate for your child like you will.

Cleaning staff, cameras at all angles and an app that allows you to watch tour child! Also they post what they have been doing, how long they nap, what they ate and even have photos they send to you privately on the private app! They have lots of employees to help in case extra help is needed for a clean up etc. they also work with each family and make sure that we have all the support needed. They have helped me and my son so much. He was struggling with grief and separation anxiety and difficultly regulating his emotions. They never gave up on him and now he is getting good notes saying how well he is doing at least once a week!
