We returned last weekend to do The Mausoleum. It was a blast!! The puzzles were very well thought out, pretty difficult and the ambiance was a lot of fun. Theming is super important to me and they do it right here!! Andy was our Escape Master and really made the experience that much more enjoyable. His enthusiasm and wit were perfect for when we needed a hint to make it to the next section. He was kind and personable and never made us feel stupid, which I think is pretty important. Overall a great escape experience and I would highly recommend it. Tell them John sent you and Ask for Andy!!

Escape RI is really an adventure for those who take part of it.... The staff sends you into a themed, immersive game space filled with puzzles, and you have to solve them all in order to "escape" within the hour. Now after the pandemic, all games are private, so you only go in with people you know. The are several room and several types of experiences! While you play, the venue is being constantly monitored by a trained Game Operator, and an emergency exit is always available in case of discomfort or actual emergency. You are never locked in a room. The lights may get dim at some points, but there's no (intentionally) spooky music or sounds, no frightening pictures, and certainly no one is going to jump out at you. All surfaces are sanitized regularly by the staff. The base price to rent one of the rooms is $79 which includes two admission tickets, which is also the minimum number of players needed to play our games. Each additional ticket is an additional $29 per person. Each room has individual capacity limits. The smallest game room can hold up to 4 players, two of the game rooms can hold up to 6 players each, and the largest game can hold up to 10. Our group needed some help in some of the rooms with the puzzles and clues, so you can ask for help and the operator will help you with hints. At the end of the game, we did not Escape, but it was a fun experience about teamwork, leadership, puzzle solving, and much more.... LOL...

It was definitely tough but so much fun and satisfying cracking the codes / clues. The "set" was very well done with an actual car in the room and a mural backdrop of a street. Everything was well utilized and locks weren't sticky. Super creative in the different ways the codes/keys were hidden too. The guy running it was friendly and helps you out with clues if you're in need of them, which you pace out. We probably should've gotten more clues sooner since we didn't escape the room. We probably got to about 60% of them (had a whole room we didn't get around to unlocking), which we were warned it is tough for 2 people, but we were up for the challenge. What I really like about this place is the discounts to return (half off I think to do the same room). What a great idea to get repeat customers. They also have another deal to buy discount passes only right after you finish a game.

I am glad the other party of 4 that were also booked for our room didn't show up, because it would have been too easy with more people. In the Heist, you're in a room and solving various clues throughout the room to locate the missing stone. Lots of different puzzles that we had fun solving. The staff member said we could knock on the door if we needed hints, but we didn't end up needing them.

The place is very cute and love how there's a section for the little babies that can't really walk just yet; according to the husband, he tried putting our son with the older kids and he almost got run over by the bigger kids running around so having the baby play section is very much appreciated! My only gripe is that it was super warm inside; I was already breaking out in a sweat within 5 minutes of stepping inside. Looking at previous reviews, this seems like an issue that management should take a look at. But other than that, an awesome place to take the babies when it's not nice outside!
