d I am writing to formally place Caliber Car Wash on notice regarding a serious incident that…read moreoccurred today at your location at 600 Eau Gallie Blvd, Indian Harbor Beach, FL 32937. This correspondence serves as both a formal complaint and a demand for compensation due to the negligence, unprofessional conduct, and potential damage risk caused by your staff.
At approximately 9:30 AM, I arrived at your facility as a paying member to have my vehicle washed. Prior to entering the tunnel, I clearly instructed the employee identified as Sue to initiate a full retract due to my vehicle being modified and lowered. This request is both reasonable and necessary to prevent damage, particularly given the sensitivity of a black paint finish to brush-induced defects.
Sue refused to comply with this request and instead chose to argue, deflect responsibility, and ultimately ignore my instructions. While this was taking place, my vehicle remained on an active track with the rollers engaged, causing it to jolt and strike against the track due to its lowered stance. This created an entirely preventable risk of physical damage to my vehicle.
Despite repeated requests, Sue failed to take corrective action, abandoned the interaction, and allowed my vehicle to proceed through the wash without the requested retract--demonstrating a complete disregard for both customer instruction and property safety.
Following the wash, I requested managerial assistance and was met by Robert, who identified himself as the Senior Sales Manager. His response was dismissive, unprofessional, and unacceptable. He failed to properly address the situation, displayed visible annoyance, and made condescending remarks minimizing my concerns. Rather than resolving the issue, his behavior escalated it.
The situation further deteriorated when Sue re-engaged in a confrontational manner--raising her voice and pointing her finger in my face--while Robert failed to appropriately intervene or de-escalate the situation. This level of conduct is entirely unacceptable and reflects a severe lack of training, professionalism, and management oversight.
Additionally, when I requested corporate contact information, Robert initially refused to provide it and directed me to find it myself online. This resistance to accountability is deeply concerning and indicative of broader operational issues at this location.
As a direct result of this incident, my vehicle was subjected to unnecessary risk and potential damage due to employee negligence and refusal to follow explicit instructions. I am currently in the process of inspecting my vehicle for any physical or cosmetic damage, including undercarriage impact and paint defects such as swirl marks caused by improper wash procedures.
Given the circumstances, I am formally demanding the following:
* A full internal investigation into this incident
* Appropriate disciplinary action for both employees involved
* Reimbursement for any and all damages identified as a result of this , including but not limited to paint correction, mechanical inspection, or repairs
* Compensation for the risk, mishandling of my vehicle, and the unacceptable customer experience
Please be advised that failure to address this matter appropriately may result in further escalation, including formal complaints, public reviews, and pursuit of recovery for damages through appropriate legal channels if necessary.
