A must for a traditional British Friday dinner and worth travelling to for the experience. The "chippy" has been owned and run by the same family for 44 years, with current owner, Claire Benson, taking over from her parents 9 years ago. Heart, soul and pride are clearly key ingredients. Crispy golden batter covers fresh, white, fleshy, tasty cod which pairs perfectly with deep fried home cut chips. Mushy peas might be a bit runny but are still good and complement the other ingredients well. Goes down well with a cup of strong, sweet Yorkshire tea!
