My husband went to Agri-Tech to purchase potting mix for 3 large planters and told the person what…read morewe were planting (flowers). He was recommended to buy a certain soil which looked like bark mulch and not soil at all. We used it, and I planted flowers seed June 6, 2025 and although they sprouted, they did not grow at all. Three weeks later I planted leftovers of the same seeds in a galvanized wash tub using bagged organic potting soil I purchased at Cascade in Coos Bay. They are growing fast and surpassed the bad soil plantings from 3 weeks earlier. My husband went back and complained, and the owner, Rex, "apologized" and said that he would bring out a load of the correct soil and that he would personally dig out the bad soil and dispose of it for us as my husband has an injured arm and cannot do it. When he arrived, my husband asked him to wait before dumping the soil as he wanted to put down a tarp first for easier clean up but while he was getting the tarp the owner dumped the soil right on our driveway in front of the planters. Rex did NOT remove the bad soil like he promised. He said he was too busy and just drove away leaving us to hire someone to finish the job he promised. So, we did not get a refund, and our $30 worth of soil ended up costing us over $100 to pay a young man to dig the old soil out and refill with new soil for us and also counting the $30 in wasted flower seeds that are now thrown out because they are ruined. I read the good reviews and wonder what has happened to Rex. If he is such a "good Christian" then why did he treat us so badly and leave us in such a difficult position? He treated us like our situation didn't matter to him at all even though he had told my husband that he would take care of all of this for us today and knowing that my husband could not do it with an injured arm. BTW, we are in our 70's. Bad business. We will never do business with Rex again.

We recently hired Cameron (Owner of Angell Excavation) and his team, including Zach, for an…read moreextensive access project, and we couldn't be more impressed. From first contact to final grading, Cameron was professional, prompt, and met every timeline as promised. While not the lowest bid, the value was clear and unbeatable. Cameron was transparent and fair with pricing, and took the time to explain exactly what we were paying for at each stage; something we truly appreciated as first-timers on a project like this. Their thoughtful, land-conscious approach especially stood out. Cameron and Zach arrived with precise equipment to measure slope and grade, eliminating guesswork and allowing them to design a route that was both efficient and minimized tree removal. Their respect for wildlife and ecological impact is obvious and a big reason we're already planning to have them back to help with some large dead tree removals. We were also impressed by their wide range of heavy equipment, which gave them the flexibility to match the right tools to our site's terrain and budget. The job was completed efficiently and with minimal site disruption. Estimates and invoicing were clear, simple, and free of surprises, making the whole process smooth from start to finish. The final result far exceeds our expectations and has truly enhanced the overall look and feel of our property. We highly recommend Angell Excavation to anyone seeking high-quality work from friendly, respectful professionals. This is not a paid review, and never met them before this project. I am just truly impressed this outfit wish them the best. Thanks again, guys!

I'm torn by this review because the installation of the product was professional and it turned out beautifully. It did take quite awhile for them to come to install, but that was understandable due to the high volume of need in my area. The problem I have with the business is that I sent several remnants of carpet with them to have rugs made for my home, and it has been 8 months and I have not gotten the rugs. I have made several calls to the business and was assured that progress was being made. The business has never contacted me in the 8 months. I even left a message asking them just to let me know if the remnants had been lost and there was no reply. The carpet was very expensive and had I known this would be the situation I would have gone with the company I originally purchased the carpet from.
