I get it; you're trying to avoid the hustle, but you're doing it by engaging in the hustle. Cruise ships bring out the worst in people on both sides. So it was quite the breath of fresh air to wander into this place slightly off the tourist track. We were walking by and one of my companions said "Hey, this place looks good, and it's all locals in here." Great seafood tapas and, of course, pimientos de padron. Good wine. Good prices. There were about 15 guests and only 1 worker when we arrived. We ordered an egg omelette and I got the chicken baguette. She told us (in Spanish) it would take a while because she had many other guests to make food for and was very polite about it. It was the best meal I've had since the start of our two week honeymoon in Italy and was our first official meal in Spain. I was relieved when two more workers arrived and started helping out. Seems nice and appealing initially but it becomes hot quickly; only few seats are in the shade so the walkway isn't blocked. If there are many people outside and inside service may run a tad slow so ensure you catch the waiter before he/she goes inside.
