One of my favorite updates is their new combo option that includes both the red light and tanning. It saves so much time and makes the whole experience more convenient. I also mentioned that I'm not a fan of tanning my face, and the owner personally said she's follow up with the company to see if there's a way to adjust the beds to include red light bulbs just for the facial area. Above and beyond service! Even if it doesn't happen, it's such a thoughtful touch. I've never been to a salon that even offers beds like that. Their hours are super convenient, and I've never had to wait for a bed. They have plenty available, and if the red light is busy, I'll just tan first and switch after. It's easy and stress-free. They also have little extras like snacks and stickers to track your tan, which makes the experience feel fun and personalized. Overall, this place just gets it. The first time, the machine was clearly broken, yet they were still using it. It looked like someone took a bucket full of paint and threw it all over my body, and the water sprinkling down my body made it even worse. Two years later, I went back and specifically told the employee, Marteena, about my previous horrible experience. I even told her that it happened in the last room. Despite knowing exactly what happened, she still took me into that same room and used the same machine. This time, I ended up with an extremely uneven tan my feet were tanned, some areas were tanned while other spots weren't, and the overall result looked terrible. I gave this place a second chance after they ruined my tan before my wedding, and they somehow managed to disappoint me again. They are seriously next level and so incredibly helpful, patient and professional. I can tell upper management and corporate are very selective in their hiring process. You can work out anywhere as there are plenty of other options out there, but you won't find a staff of this caliber! I also love the set up here and arrangement of equipment. I had paid for a huge amount of points with the previous owner and when he realized how many points I had in my account I conviently disappeared from his computer. When I challenged this and asked to speak to one of his employee's who knew my account, he told me she no longer worked there. I was arguing with him about the validity of my account when he told me, well I have to check into this because **** points is way too many and sounds fishy to me. When I said, how can you know how many points I have if you can't find me in the computer. He said you just told me, I said, NO I made of point of not telling you.. He didn't like the balance I had invested in with the previous owner so he deleted the account. HE IS A THIEF, I wouldn't trust this man with any personal information. He doesn't open during regularly scheduled hours and keeps a small RV in the back and keeps going in and out to it... really really sketchy person. I went to another salon nearby and found every woman in there was a new customer who had left Sun Diego because of similar sketchy behavior.... We have all reported him to the BBB and some women have even filed charges with the police department.. DO NOT GO HERE Oh yeah and he is the most expensive tanning salon I have ever walked into.

Ended up going to the hospital…read more Here's a fun story.. I bought a package here for monthly tanning and had been going for a few weeks. I had worked myself up to 16 minutes and had a pretty nice tan going on! I went in and asked to go again for 16 minutes, (out of max 20) The girl working in the front appeared preoccupied with flirting with a guy who was there to do some remodeling. She set me up for 16 minutes and I was on my way. After I finished tanning, I felt funny, sorta dizzy, skin burning, ect. I headed to work regardless. Over the next few hours my skin turned stop sign red and I began over heating. I left work, bought aloe and covered myself with it. That night I could not sleep, I couldn't move my body due the pain from the burn, was shaking and began dry heaving. The next day I went to the hospital where they gave me pain killers, nausea medication so I could eat/drink and told me I had gotten sun poisoning. I missed 2 1/2 days of work and my whole body peeled for over a month. When I went back a few days after this happened, I spoke with the wife of the owner. She explained to me that I had been put in a bed that had its bulbs replaced the day before and I should have only been allowed in for 8 minutes. I was in there for DOUBLE the time because some bimbo wanted to get her mack on. To top it off, I was not refunded anything, not apologized too.. all she said was she could comp. me 2 extra weeks to be added to my package. Pass.
