We had a very small, intimate backyard wedding. Our wedding photos came out so beautiful and the video highlight reel transported us back to that day, bringing all the feels along with it. I really loved Anne's communication, especially with our phone call a month before the wedding to work out the kinks. Absolutely ADORED her direction day-of. No wasted time and she made us look great in every photo! David was so slick with the camera work as well, half the time we didn't even know he was there! Kim did an amazing job editing our highlight video and really captured all the details in 3 minutes. He synced it well with the music we chose too (Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish). I highly recommend Something New and Blue team to capture your day!!!

It was really important to me to have a copy of the raw footage from my wedding, because I knew I was going to be too busy to remember the ceremony and the toasts, and all those other important moments. Anne and Dave offered a package that included this footage, and at a reasonable price. The other videographer I had found who offered this was charging an exorbitant amount. (2) I spoke with Anne before hiring her, and I really liked her. She responded to my email inquiry very quickly. When we talked about their packages, she gave me her honest opinion--that, for what I was looking for, one of their cheaper packages would be sufficient. She could have tried to upsell me, but the fact that she didn't showed me that she has integrity. I also just really liked her energy when I spoke with her. She seemed really earnest, cheerful, and supportive. I'm so pleased with the work that Anne and Dave did. They arrived early to the venue and worked nonstop until after the first dance. Our photographer seemed to enjoy working with them, to the extent that I thought they were already friends (but they'd all just met that day). Anne and Dave both had good suggestions for certain shots they wanted, and even recommended some shots to the photographer. Lastly, there was a point before the ceremony where I was extremely stressed and frustrated, and Anne came over under the guise of fixing my necklace, but I think she was also trying to help me take deep breaths. She wasn't being condescending or anything, it was just a natural extension of her calm energy. That moment helped ground me, and helped me feel like I had someone supporting me. I could cry just thinking about it, because she knew what I needed in the moment. We received our highlight video less than 2 months after the wedding, and it's so cute! I'm excited to go through the raw footage next. This experience has been 100% positive.

Peter came highly recommended by a good friend and after seeing samples of his work, I knew that he'd do a great job--and he certainly did! I met Peter on campus at Cal State Fullerton where we took different shots in different locations around campus. I am hopelessly awkward and can't act naturally in front of a camera to save my life! Peter was patient and directed me on how to pose in my cap and gown, and as silly as I felt, I was hopeful that he would be able to get some decent shots. In the end, the entire process took about an hour and resulted in over a dozen great shots! I had several favorites that I used for graduation announcements and received quite a few compliments on them. All credit to the photographer, and not the model, though! Thanks again, Peter! Overall: The good: A cost-effective solution to purchasing grad photos from your school with the added bonus of multiple shots and backgrounds. Friendly, professional, and accommodating photographer who is great at what he does! The bad: If you don't enjoy getting your picture taken, be prepared to step out of your comfort zone a bit to let out your inner America's Next Top Model. The ugly: Don't show up for your photo shoot looking tore up. Your pictures will be ugly too :]
