There is an entry fee, but what's great about it as you can use it towards things at the gym that are important. I used it for personal training. The manager--who is 27 came across as extremely unprepared and unprofessional the entire time. The interview had no structure, included awkward comments, and halfway through I was genuinely thinking, "Where did I end up?" It almost felt like a joke. To be clear, I'm not bitter about not getting the job; I actually called afterward to withdraw my candidacy myself, trying to be professional. I was told they'd call me back, but instead they said they were "in a meeting" and never followed up, which says a lot. Walking around the facility didn't help either. The restrooms were pretty disgusting. The floor a mess. After reading other reviews, I'm not surprised they're so negative. From my experience, this place seems very poorly managed, especially with someone so inexperienced in charge. Definitely not somewhere I'd want to be associated with.

About 16 hours later, I received a "missed class" email that was surprisingly harsh and off putting, especially as a first time client. I was never aware that I needed to check in on the iPad, and as a new guest, I assumed my attendance was already accounted for. Had I known there was a separate check in process, I would have happily completed it. While I understand the need for attendance and cancellation policies, the tone of the email felt accusatory and unwelcoming. Instead of reaching out to verify what happened, the message immediately focused on strict policies, penalties, and waivers. As someone trying the studio for the first time, it left me feeling more like a problem than a valued customer. Allison deserves recognition for providing an excellent class experience, but the studio's follow-up communication left such a negative impression that it overshadowed what was otherwise a great workout. The first time I brought my sister-in-law, the check-in and tour took about 45 minutes. During that time, the employee assisting us repeatedly tried to dismiss me so he could focus his attention on her. It felt less like he was trying to sign her up for a membership and more like he was personally interested in her, which made the situation awkward and embarrassing for both of us. More recently, I brought my husband in and made it very clear at check-in that I did not want a long tour, as he would not be signing up separately. The older gentleman in a red shirt told me a tour was still required but assured me it would be quick. I left my husband with him for what I expected to be a brief walkthrough while I went to the sauna. For context, I do not know this employee's name, but during the tour he shared that he "only works there because his kids are in college and you can only spend so many days drinking beer on the beach." That comment alone felt unprofessional and set the tone for the rest of the interaction. Unfortunately, it didn't improve from there. During the tour, he made several inappropriate comments to my husband, including remarks like, "Is this quick enough for your wife?" along with comments suggesting that I have a "big attitude." Speaking about a member that way to their guest is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Additionally, he brought up politics during the tour, complaining about Governor Newsom and sharing a story about gym members asking him not to discuss politics at work. He said he "glared at them until they got the point and walked away." Regardless of personal views, that kind of conversation is not appropriate in a professional setting. To be honest, this is not the first negative experience I've had when bringing in a guest. Each time, I've encountered staff behavior that lacks professionalism. While I'll admit I may have come across as direct upon arrival due to my prior experiences, I was not disrespectful or out of line. At this point, I'm seriously considering canceling my membership and returning to 24 Hour Fitness, where I've never had to deal with situations like this.
