They also drove their heavy equipment 40+ feet onto my property without permission and heavily damaged/destroyed Cedar trees, pine trees, sasafras trees and destroyed native vines including 30 year old scuppernong vines. I spoke with Advanced Tree before the job started (1:30pm EST) and they said they were just trimming a few limbs and filling in a bulk head. Three and a half hours later (5:00pm EST) the back of my property was unrecognizable. There were tread marks from heavy equipment and downed trees that they left on my property (remember I wasn't the one having the trees removed). I put up No Trespassing signs after they left at 5:00pm, When they returned the following day, they completely ignored (and destroyed) the No Trespassing signs and also ignored my pleas to not trespass or remove anything from my property. Had no choice but to call the police. The police stayed on the job until they were finished to make sure they did not destroy my property further. They have no integrity or respect for vegetation or property. Their negligence and ignorance is inexcusable.

He did the project terribly- making it take double the time and money he had said and needing to be redone by a landscaper after he finally left. His biggest move is to not show up day after day when I was home waiting for him, and then when I wasn't home would do "a ton of work" I hadn't authorized and demand payment. He used sobs to stories about needing the money along with intimidating tactics like yelling at me and blaming me in order to get paid in full. He never documented a single piece of work. It became so bad I eventually wanted him out of my life, so I paid him which was my mistake. I learned a lot about business dealings through this experience and there's a lot I wish I could go back and do differently to hold him to honest and professional business practices, but on the Outer Banks we are family and I didn't think I needed to do this for the company. I was wrong. Very wrong. Save yourself and go with a company that does honest work and actually does the work like so many others on the OBX.

    Jeff's Landscaping

Jeff's Landscaping was recommended by Angi's list. I hired him to put pavers around my pool. To say…read morethe job was unprofessional and unsatisfactory is an understatement. I was overcharged for the materials and pavers. Instead of surrounding the pool with pavers as the job was quoted he put a very small 6ft x 8ft so called "patio" on each side of the pool and filled the rest of the area with "pea gravel" ( which has no place surrounding an inground pool). I immediately voiced my displeasure that this not what I had asked for. I received a call from his assistant assuring me the situation would be rectified and that he would remove these ridiculous rocks and I was promised a credit which exceeded $1300. This never happened, and despite putting 50% down, he asked for $1500 more for additional materials which I gave him. However he did not purchase any additional pavers. Instead, he asked for even more money by trying to manipulate me into "self purchasing" the additional pavers at Home Depot. When I refused to do this because I had already paid for them with the $1300 credit from the first batch of missing pavers plus the additional $1500 things went downhill. I also paid for a certain number of plants to abut the fence. He actually buried them still in their pots and covered them with mulch. When I said I would pay the remaining $2000 balance upon completion of the job he abandoned the job and left behind an incredible mess. I received a "text message" from his assistant stating HE no longer wished to work on my property (I'll bet). Do not hire this man. You are likely to be disappointed.
