Fresh flowers, meats, cheeses, baked goods and fresh baked breads, and of course beer and wine bars. There's something here for everyone and it's always fun checking out all the different booths. I walked over every morning for fresh Cappuccino at Leo's Kaffee and would pick up a pastry at one of the bakeries. In the afternoon, I would stop by the pickle guy and buy a few of the best pickles I've ever eaten. So many choices from sweet to sour, spicy and my favorite a super sour with a spicy horseradish. The long line moves quickly and if you like pickles, you must stop here.

Unfortunately, I visited during the holidays, so some stalls weren't open. One shop in particular really caught my attention--it specialized in mustard (Senf) and offered so many varieties I had never seen or even heard of before. I was excited to try everything. Prices ranged from €2 to €7 per bottle, and while I was tempted to buy several, my luggage limitations held me back. In the end, I chose two: black truffle mustard and matcha mustard. Can't wait to try them once I'm back home.

I pop in there every so often to get fruit and it is consistently of high quality. If you live in the area it's a pretty good option and, there are a handful of these types of places around the area. Prices are not cheap but then again, good quality fruit and vegetables are not usually cheap :-)

They always have fresh produce, as well as (and this may sound a little strange...) overly ripe?!, but before they toss it, you can buy certain items that should be consumed asap from a box in the back. Admittedly, I feel a little like a homeless person scuffing through this box sometimes, but really, who likes to waste food? It's all still in pretty good shape (just not as shiny as the other stuff). The fruit is perfect for juicing and the vegies are fine too. Each bag usually costs only about 50 cents. They also have a nice selection of cheap flowers and other seasonal items. Friendly people working there too.
