There were chunks of chocolate in the muffin. We also tried the Berlin doughnut and I thought it was all right. A little dry on the inside and a bit sweet. The inside also has some fruit jam (which I don't love as much) so I scooped some out. The brewed coffee was also not bad and you get it yourself on the side table. However you're supposed to pay 1 euro for a refill which was too bad because the coffee cup is quite small.

The venue features barista made coffee as well as many grab and go items. Opted for the full English breakfast and it was made to order. Eggs were tasty and the bacon and sausage were salty. The toast was good too. Latte was good. Nice layer of foam on top of a smooth shot of espresso. They also have bottles of water along with baked pastries available for purchase! There are tables to sit and a pager is provided when the food is ready!

Anything salmon is equally superb. The lightly smoked version over a cucumber sauce with a side of their dense dark bread and mushroom butter is bomb! Service is quick and painfully polite. We had a 1 hour window for our connecting flight to New York -- and ate calmly and made our connection with plenty of time to spare. Of course there is a price to pay but for the good food and view, it was worth it. A few of us sat together and we spent half of the time plane spotting and even taking photos of aircraft passing by. It was ideal for us! Great food, avgeek chats and photography at the same time, what more can I ask? It was a bit strange to receive the appetiser, main course and dessert all at once on a rectangular plate - my first time for me. It feels like being pressured to eat quickly and go, but I don't think that's the idea. All 3 dishes were great, it was to our satisfaction and we washed it down with some local beer. This restaurant is located at the air side, not too difficult too find it, so drop by here for a meal if you have time to spare.

But it's still inside an airport, and the ambiance, even with the Nordic appeal for clean spaces and open glass, is a bit limited. Which seems to fit the food - if you need a hot dog, they do well enough, but this is not the type of place you're going to rave about. The staff are efficient and friendly. And the crowd, well, it's an airport. When it's quiet it's not bad. When it's busy there's far too many screaming children running around - but that's not the restaurant's fault!
