I've been coming to this salon consistently since May and have received the same service each time. Unfortunately, today's experience made me decide not to return. At checkout, I noticed I had been charged an additional $7 fee that I had never been charged during any of my previous appointments. The fee was also never mentioned to me before or during my service. When I questioned the charge, I was told that the fee is on their menu and that they had simply "forgotten" to charge me for it on all of my previous visits. I had a very disappointing deluxe manicure experience here, and unfortunately this wasn't a first-time issue. The technician who worked on me this time is the same person who gave me a terrible manicure about 1.5 years ago, after which I swore I wouldn't return. I only came back because I was desperate to remove badly chipped gel polish and hoped things had changed. They hadn't. Gel removal: Instead of soaking and gently scraping off the gel, he used an electric buffer to grind it off, which is exactly what he did last time as well. This is aggressive, unnecessary, and extremely irritating--especially since soaking with acetone had already been done. "Deluxe" manicure issues: The deluxe manicure was supposed to include: * Sugar scrub * Mask & hot towel However, he applied the sugar scrub and the mask at the same time, wrapped my arms, and then left to smoke a cigarette outside while I sat there. My arms were burning and uncomfortable the entire time. In every deluxe manicure or pedicure I've ever had elsewhere, the process is: 1. Sugar scrub 2. Rinse or wipe clean 3. Then apply the mask to clean skin 4. Wrap in warm towels 5. Remove and continue treatment That did not happen here. Applying scrub and mask together makes no sense and defeats the purpose of both. Bottom line: This was rushed, improperly performed, and uncomfortable. I gave this place a second chance after a bad experience years ago, and I regret it. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this salon--especially for gel services or deluxe treatments. read more

This was my first time coming here, I have a maternity photoshoot in two days so this was last minute. The guy who did my nails was extremely rough with handling my hands/nails, the filing, him digging his nails into my fingers , and the dirtiness with his tools. He nicked me while filing with his dirty nail drill. I believe that the polish was old and too thick. All my nails chipped. I did nothing to make that happen. I was going to an event and that is why I needed to have my nails done. So I chipped my toenail a couple months ago and I wanted square nails I asked for her to add acrylic to fill in that part little did I know she completely added so much acrylic that it was basically a few more toenails on my toe. So I wound up on the west side, and with some time to kill, found myself at Oasis Nails. I've been to some other salons on this side, but this one felt like an Oasis! Very stylish decor, working chairs, and a great vibe, They had some cool music playing that really said "relax" and "chill", and that's exactly what I did. The nail techs were male and female, and they all spoke English. I like being able to communicate with my nail person, makes it so much nicer. It's a family business, and they do eyelashes too. I originally planned to do a regular mani/pedi, but opted for the gel mani, and regular pedi, and I'm quite happy with it. I was a walk in, but it must've been good timing, because it started getting busy when I started on my mani.
