I had a very disappointing deluxe manicure experience here, and unfortunately this wasn't a first-time issue. The technician who worked on me this time is the same person who gave me a terrible manicure about 1.5 years ago, after which I swore I wouldn't return. I only came back because I was desperate to remove badly chipped gel polish and hoped things had changed. They hadn't. Gel removal: Instead of soaking and gently scraping off the gel, he used an electric buffer to grind it off, which is exactly what he did last time as well. This is aggressive, unnecessary, and extremely irritating--especially since soaking with acetone had already been done. "Deluxe" manicure issues: The deluxe manicure was supposed to include: * Sugar scrub * Mask & hot towel However, he applied the sugar scrub and the mask at the same time, wrapped my arms, and then left to smoke a cigarette outside while I sat there. My arms were burning and uncomfortable the entire time. In every deluxe manicure or pedicure I've ever had elsewhere, the process is: 1. Sugar scrub 2. Rinse or wipe clean 3. Then apply the mask to clean skin 4. Wrap in warm towels 5. Remove and continue treatment That did not happen here. Applying scrub and mask together makes no sense and defeats the purpose of both. Bottom line: This was rushed, improperly performed, and uncomfortable. I gave this place a second chance after a bad experience years ago, and I regret it. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this salon--especially for gel services or deluxe treatments. read more

I didn't need a new set, like they always try to insist that you do. I had Maile! She did an amazing job on my nails. She did my repair and wanted to do a few more replacements, but I just told her no; just filled them in. And she was accommodating. My husband got a pedicure and a manicure because he was with me and he was waiting. Everything was extremely top-notch. I was very impressed and pleased with my nail services I think the only thing that people need to be aware of is: hey are very, very expensive. I was absolutely shocked at the total for what we had done. Don't get me wrong, the service was great. But $184 was unbelievable. First, it's in the same area as the Kapolei Panda Express and Home Depot. The first thing I liked was that there was a bunch of parking. If their lot gets full, I don't see why you couldn't park in Home Depot's. You can make an appointment to get your nails done. I was somewhat surprised how busy they were for a week day afternoon, but I think there was a large birthday or possibly bridal group. One of the uncles did my nails. He was pretty nice and gave me recommendations as I'm still a newb to getting my nails done. They do offer 5% off if you're paying cash. I asked for a certain color and I didn't realize until I was done that it was not the color I asked for. I finished paying at 135. How can you possibly do a good job in 20 minutes ? This was my first time coming here, I have a maternity photoshoot in two days so this was last minute. The guy who did my nails was extremely rough with handling my hands/nails, the filing, him digging his nails into my fingers , and the dirtiness with his tools. He nicked me while filing with his dirty nail drill. After him handling me roughly and then actually cutting me causing me to bleed, I finally asked him if the tools were clean, being pregnant I am so cautious about everything that happens to my body and I for sure do not want to be infected with anything especially while carrying a child! After I asked if it was clean, he said it was and if I felt like I need to wash my hands I can and he'll spray alcohol on it, but that wasn't till 10 minutes after! I needed to get my nails done and made an appointment. I still waited 10 minutes after my appointment time because they take a lot of walk ins. My nail polish lasted all of 3 days. I believe that the polish was old and too thick. All my nails chipped. I did nothing to make that happen. I was going to an event and that is why I needed to have my nails done. So I chipped my toenail a couple months ago and I wanted square nails I asked for her to add acrylic to fill in that part little did I know she completely added so much acrylic that it was basically a few more toenails on my toe. When I went to go work out it was so bulky that it literally was painful after jumping a few times the pressure peeled my entire nail off of my foot yes with close toed shoes. So I wound up on the west side, and with some time to kill, found myself at Oasis Nails. I've been to some other salons on this side, but this one felt like an Oasis! Very stylish decor, working chairs, and a great vibe, They had some cool music playing that really said "relax" and "chill", and that's exactly what I did. The nail techs were male and female, and they all spoke English. I like being able to communicate with my nail person, makes it so much nicer. It's a family business, and they do eyelashes too. I originally planned to do a regular mani/pedi, but opted for the gel mani, and regular pedi, and I'm quite happy with it. I was a walk in, but it must've been good timing, because it started getting busy when I started on my mani.
