I was torn between giving this place three or four stars, so here's a helpful list of points that you can digest with a quickness:
GREAT!
- You get free text alerts to your phone to remind you of your appoinment. Handy when you've totally forgotten your 6-month checkup.
- Every (regular) dentist I've had has been really friendly and cool, especially Dr. Gurvinder Thiara.
- They offer NHS and private treatments, and you can switch between which you prefer.
- I got an appointment for doing one of my fillings the very next day, made by the dentist himself.
BLAH:
- My last appointment was cancelled and rescheduled FOUR TIMES.
- I've overheard the receptionists screeching about how much they hate their kids and how badly they want to get drunk on a Tuesday night.
To be fair, the rescheduling was due to the dentist's illness, but the reception staff could really do with a half-day of lessons in appropriate topics of conversation in the workplace.
It's worth noting that, at the time of writing (May 2010) they are not accepting NHS patients until next year. read more
