Sold!!! I was nervous because every review told how busy and loud it was, but we arrived at a good time. Being a Saturday night, I was happy to discover only a handful of people at 7 pm. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and chatted during the shift change. Sports played on a nearby t.v. Being once employed bartenders, we enjoyed the friendly banter behind the bar and carried out easy conversation. Super friendly staff, excellent service, and the British accents are never a disappointment. Will hurriedly return for another dose!

It is just a 7 minute drive from the center of Füssen. There is a broad range of regional and local dishes. We were in a large group and every dish looked delicious. The food was hot and fresh and the portions plentiful. I had the Tiroler Holzfällerpfanne (Tyrolean Lumberjack Skillet) and it was of high quality. If I had one small complaint: the potatoes were just a little bit overcooked (soft), but it did not spoil my meal. There was also a selection of local spirits and drinks and of course, Bavarian beer, including a very local one. I have been living in the area for ten years and this place ranks high in customer service (hard to find around here!) and quality.. And it seems like the locals enjoy it, too, which is important! In short: If you want to have one last Bavarian dinner before leaving the Alps and Füssen, I would recommend this spot for both the view and the food. (By the way, I am not sure if they have an English menu, but I assume they do).
