Captain Dominick picked us up on time and as promised we could bring on our own drinks and snacks. His boat was clean and he has a great setup for all 5 of us to fit comfortably, we loved the bean bag chairs. The two hours was a perfect amount of time and he showed us some beautiful houses as we hung out and spent time together laughing, chatting, and listening to music. I would highly recommend for a more "intimate" experience and I think anyone would enjoy Captain Don as their host.

I went on the Dinner Cruise in December. Service: Wait in line to be boarded, check in, go hang out anywhere (inside, front/back of lower deck, front/back of upper deck), food will be served to you whenever you seat yourself (I was served at 5:30pm), non alcoholic drinks are complimentary at the bar otherwise it's BYOB. Fun cruise experience. I get sea sick and was not sea sick at all during the entire cruise. The front of the yacht can be really windy so keep that in mind, especially once the sun sets because it can get cold during winter. The yacht only travels intercostally, no open sea. That being said, it was iron and sad to see the beautiful picturesque sunset being obstructed by all the multimillion dollar homes lining waterway. Side salad of mixed greens, cucumber, shredded carrot, and grape tomato (ranch or vinaigrette dressing) was served alongside Lasagna topped with Italian sausage and a slice of garlic buttered French bread. It was all very homemade tasting and yummy! For dessert, a square slice of carrot cake was served, not too sweet and very satisfying (however, it does contain walnuts so beware if you have allergies).

The pictures of the boat don't do it justice - there is so much room for walking around and tons of seating area, and enough cooler space for any alcohol you need. I will admit, at first I was wary of not going through a typical boat charter company, especially since I was handling other people's money who were paying for our boat day. I did my due diligence and even privately messaged a few of the other ladies who reviewed Hard Charters on here to be sure that they had a fun and safe experience, and the feedback was all immensely positive. Tour also started late because we were sent the wrong address. Captain confirmed but wasn't at the confirmed location when we called and we had to drive elsewhere. No signs or flags just "walk to the back of the restaurant". The boat had tiki decor, but could definitely get a facelift. There were bean bags to sit on that have seen better days. Seats in the front would get splashed with water. The floor had wet turf, so be aware of that! Water was offered and stored in a cooler. The cooler also doubled as a seat. Lack of cup holders. Life jackets were dirty! Being that the tour was a sunset one we were anticipating sailing in the dark. Was not expecting to be sailing in pitch black. The only light was from the shore and other boats. Captain couldn't figure how to turn on the string lights. Even when he supposedly called for assist no one knew how to turn it on. She offered a boat of the same size but leaving from a different marina. However, on the day of, we ended up with a 40-foot boat, departing from the Miami River, for the same price. The boat was supposed to arrive at 3 PM but didn't show up until 4:30-4:45 PM, drastically reducing our rental time. When we finally boarded, the captain tried to charge us nearly triple the balance due, leading to a back-and-forth between him and the broker. We were also given no choice in selecting the captain and were told to pretend we had chosen him via text. Leaving from the Miami River was a nightmare. It took an hour and 20 minutes just to reach open sea, during which we couldn't play music due to the residential area. Our six-hour rental was reduced by nearly three hours due to this. We were promised a landing on an island to mingle with other boats, but instead, we docked in the middle of the ocean with nothing to do but hang out on a water mat behind the boat. The entire experience was frustrating and ruined my birthday. The broker later apologized and offered a four-hour rental with 10 guests as compensation. Despite following up repeatedly, she eventually said the offer was only valid on weekdays, making it impossible for us due to work schedules. It was extremely disappointing to see on their social media channels that the boat we were supposed to have actually departed that same day at the same time it was scheduled for us, which makes me wonder what ended up happening. I will never use this company again. They failed to deliver on their promises, provided no compensation for the size difference in the boat, and caused a lot of unnecessary stress and disappointment. My guests and I were extremely dissatisfied with the service, and I wouldn't recommend Magical Moments Yacht Rental in Miami to anyone. The first trip we took with Evvie, the owner of the business. Evvie is a very cool guy, low key, and very knowledgeable about all aspects of the Bahamas. He took us to Compass Cay to swim with the nurse sharks, and to Staniel Cay for lunch. The water was the most beautiful we had ever seen, and Evvie took us to some very off the beaten path spots. The second trip we went to Long Island for lunch with Tonio, and then fishing on the way back. Tonio is very personable and also knowledgeable. He filleted our fish for us on the dock and then hooked up us with a local place who BBQd it fresh. The other thing about Island Boy is they do not do open charters, you rent the boat so it's totally private and customized. We had a great time on their charters, highly recommend!
