A helpful man guided me through which plants would look best, and how to arrange them so that they would flower during the year and provide a year round display of colour. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a plant centre in Leicester, and they will now be my first thought for anything plant related!

I have to confess that I didn't succeed at the last subject yet! Meanwhile, I am visiting some garden centres around and it has been a great experience. Planters Garden Centre is a perfect place to research about gardening. The facility offers a large range of plants, shrubs and trees and what should have been very confusing for an amateur like me, turned into something very educative day. Thanks to the leaflets offered to the customers with all basic information we need to start to understand more about this very English hobby. According to my auntie kate- a personal gardening adviser that day- the prices of some plants are reasonable for a big garden centre like that. Planters has also a huge and comfy restaurant that deserves to be visited, opens seven days a week and the parking is for free!

They sell the composts to the front. then a selection of equipment such as waterbutts and hanging baskets. They have plants from flowers to shrubs to veg and fruit trees. they sell seeds and equipment such as fork too.

Hoar Park Farm is a really nice place to visit there is a little zoo if your children like…read moreanimals, and it's a cute little set up with arts and crafts shops laid out for you to have a look in. Its not too far out so not a long drive to get fractious on! The café is really nice, and you can have a good look round in about an hour so its not a long day out, perfect for kids or older family members. The parking is good and I have not been when its been extremely busy so I would say it's a good choice for older people to visit.

Equestrian, food, cafe, antiques, gifts restaurant garden centre can all be found here. Parking is ample and the park alos has a great play park for the children. Well worth a visit in summer or winter and teh prices are very competitive.
