My daughter had an emergency with her permanent retainer and they made an appointment for her right away. They were so friendly and professional all the way from the phone call, to the front desk, to the doctor, to the check out. I was worried about the cost of an emergency visit because we are from the USA and not in the NHS, but it was so reasonable! Thank you to Dr. Patel and staff! read more

I have been a patient here since the 70's, it would be alot easier for me to go to the dental practice nearer to me but i would much rarther come here! The staff are always very nice to me, lovely receptionists who make very nice tea! I would highly recommend to my friends and family read more

Oakdale Dental is a specialist referral dental practice in the heart of Leicester specialising in oral surgery and providing high level implant dentistry. In addition, our highly trained and talented team are able to provide a wide range of services to patients including Invisalign braces, orthodontics, facial rejuvenation, cosmetic dentistry, tooth whitening and Dental emergency.

History

Established in 1952.

In 1952 they set up KA Smith & WS Jones Ltd as a Body Corporate, registered with the General Dental Council (GDC), and this Body was in partnership with the dentists until 1999 by which time it was one of only 27 remaining Body Corporates as after 1955 no new corporates could be established until the law changed in 2006. In 1963 David Hern joined the partnership and 21 Fosse Road Central was bought and the practice expanded into the two houses. The practice became known as "Smith, Jones and Hern". They also established a branch practice in Syston at this time. Shortly after we were joined by Sarah May as an associate The partnership of Jacobs, Jolley, Seal and Butters was dissolved in 2004 and Liz Butters took over Syston Dental Practice and moved there full time. Laurence Jacobs went into partnership with Bayan Al Saraj who took sole control of the practice when Laurence Jacobs retired in 2008.

Dr Alif Moosajee is the principal dentist at Oakdale Dental and is also the author of the book 'The Smiling Dentist'. Alif really loves dentistry; he has a passion for it and often says that if it wasn't his job it would be his hobby! Away from the practice he is a devoted father and husband and adores spending time with his wife and daughter playing and generally goofing around!

I am currently undergoing the Invisalign treatment on both upper and lower teeth. An advert on facebook offering a free clin-check for Invisalign originally caught my eye. When attending my 1st meeting I was welcomed by Talha who instantly made me feel at home. He explained my treatment, answered any questions I had and gave me the courage and confidence to do something I'd wanted to do for years. I was then referred to Dr Josh Virdee who was happy to oversee any dental work (fillings) prior to my treatment. I cannot express how amazed I am at his knowledge and attention to detail, continuously giving results that have exceed my expectations. Dr Virdee went the extra mile, conversing with Invisalign and presented me with an end result that I didn't think would be possible with my overcrowded, wonky teeth. I mean, this guy should get an award (if he hasn't already!). I would recommend Oakdale Dental practice to anyone and everyone. I cannot thank them enough for their help and will continue regular check-ups here after my treatment is complete. read more

My experience with Oakdale Dental is very good. All service in high quality. Very friendly and helpful stuff. Qualified and professional dentist's. I'm very glad , that dentist Josh advised me to use invisaling for my teeth straightening. No pain, no long-term to wear and it's invisible. I'm very happy with results.
