The workers teach you how to do it, but trust me, it is not as easy as it looks. IT took me several minutes to figure out how to do it with the instructor and even still when I was doing it without the instructor, I still sucked. My friends had a really good time. We thankfully got there right before a private event so it was not busy. My friends are already asking when we can go back. I probably wouldn't come back as it was an expensive outing for something I was not good at.

The owner Gene made it such a fun time and helped us learn how to throw. They have a ton of lanes and plenty of room for large groups. It was the perfect team building activity. He also has options for ladies nights with designated lumberjacks to retrieve your axes for you! It's only $10 a lady and you can do four per lane. After, we went across the street to his movie theater for karaoke. So much entertainment right in New Orleans square plus you're supporting a small, local business. Win, win.

It was super close to where we lived, had the reception area and ceremony area right there was how she convinced me over our 5 minute phone call before I got yelled at by drill sergeants. But man once I saw the place I was hooked. They also made it super easy to decorate by having a lot of things you can use in storage rather than breaking the bank on decorations. Clean up is also super helpful. We had the champagne wall and the greenery wall and it was just an absolute blast, and a dream of a day. Would highly recommend. We WOULD have done an outside wedding which is also gorgeous, but my husband is hot natured. But the inside was just as nice for the ceremony especially with new renovations letting a lot more light in.
