And they had WiFi so I could work while they played?? Sold! Parking was easy. They don't share their lot with any other business. The space is a decent size , with bounce houses and air hockey. The staff was younger, and not really engaged. Similar to what other Yelpers reported, but that wasn't a big deal since I wasn't hosting a party and I honestly didn't need anything besides the WiFi password. They had a space to order food even though I didn't see anyone there and their bathrooms were pretty clean. Overall, my nephews had fun and it's an option to consider if I need to do something last minute and inexpensive.

You will still need to use the Groupon to buy the ticket in advance online though and buying tickets online involves filling out a waiver form. My toddler isn't quite 2 yet and took a bit to warm up to this space even though we came on a weekday morning with what seemed like mostly nannies and kids. Not too busy but the inflatables were a bit intimidating for my little one and then she eventually warmed up. There's an infant area too but I would have loved to see some pretend play like a toy kitchen. It's a really affordable play area though and there's no limit to how long you can stay, so you can eat there and I even saw massage chairs haha

It wasn't awkward at all ... being that I never played tennis. Coach Joe is AWESOME. He's funny, full of energy, and treats each one of us like we can be a tennis star even in our later years. I found the Summer Class for the little kids (5 years old) to be reasonable and luckily in my time schedule. Monday's at 4 and Saturday mornings. The coach is so good and he really encourages my daughter. She's 5 so I don't know if she'll be good or not ... but it's definitely great to get outdoors and introduce her and I to something new. They also have a lot of free and for profit events. Join the email group. If things remain the same I'll forever be a patron whether active or passive.

The max capacity for the class is 8 people, so you have to make your reservation early - this is easy enough to do on their website. They also offer round robin tournaments and other organized pickleball activities. My only gripe is that it's not easy to reserve a pickleball court if you just feel like playing on your own. Sometimes, when the weather is nice, we feel like going out for some impromptu pickleball and don't feel like competing. Still looking for places in DeKalb where we can easily reserve a court and do our own thing. I believe you can call to check availability and reserve, though.

We came from another gym which unexpectedly closed down, but everything happens for a reason! While there have been some negative reviews from the recent closure of the boys team, one person this can't be blamed on is the owner. She has allowed the men's program to run at a deficit for years, while the person responsible for the program has not taken any initiative to grow, including completely disregarding repeated requests to do so. Yes it is sad for the kids, yes it's sad for the parents, yes it is also sad for the owner and yes she has a business to run and can't keep taking losses. If you are interested in joining this gym, please know that the staff, owner and coaches who remain are fully committed to continuing to develop elite athletes and building a very strong recreational and girls program where every child will have the opportunity to be amazing!

Every day the Camp Scene bus (15 passenger vehicle) travels to different locations so that the kids experience the outdoors with an emphasis on environmental education. The camp director/owner Mr. Seitz is a middle school teacher. All staff members are certified teachers with first aid training. Last week my daughter attended their first week of camp. Among other events, she went canoeing, kayaking, rock-climbing and adventure swimming. She came home excited every day about the science lessons and gained a new interest in preserving the environment. In addition, she overcame a long-standing fear of being out on open water. This camp is a sure winner! I don't know if they are adding extra weeks this summer, but I know they are planning sessions all summer next year.

It is very expensive but there are day trips on busses and very well qualified staff to compensate so it seems worth the cost to me - even if I can only do one per summer. Four stars because they really are pretty unresponsive to emails, phone messages, etc. when you are in the registration process. I had a similar experience to another reviewer but I persisted because we had already experienced the camp. If you can get registered through the website without looking at waitlists, etc., you should be fine. If you actually need to speak to a human before you drop your kid off the first day, you might want to forget about it.

Then we got a ton of hands on time with the pottery, about an hour and a half, and then we got to pick from a wide selection of glazes which the artists will apply and then in about 6 weeks we will be able to pick up the pottery. I was blown away by the price of the class. I received it as a gift, but when I learned that it was only $65 per person for a 2 hour class and 2 pieces of pottery I was shocked. We turned right off the bumpy road that led us there and noticed their sizable parking lot. We found a spot quickly, snapped a couple of pictures and entered. There was really no direction or guidance when we got inside so we were hovering around for a few minutes. Then I noticed a check in desk at the far end. There was a couple ahead of us so we waited for a few seconds and then approached the counter. We advised that we were scheduled for the 5 PM class. The staff checked us in, pointed us in the right direction, and also informed us that we could roam around and check out their gallery before our class started, since we were a little early. I would say initially there were a bunch of people milling around. I was not sure if they were staff members or other patrons, but we did not initially get a very welcoming feel. Not a lot of eye contact or warm smiles. We roamed around checking the gallery until our class started. We approached the training area as it got close to our scheduled start time. Our instructor. Zoe greeted us warmly and told us she would get things started soon. Before class, she conducted an official tour that led us around the whole property. She clearly explained how the whole process would flow. Then she did a full demo before we even started. She led us through the process, and we were able to create three different creations, but she let us know that we were only able to keep two. Zoe was a star; very informative, patient and knowledgeable about the whole process. She expertly stepped in and helped us whenever we had questions. We washed up, picked out final colors for our creations and checked out. She advised that it would take 6 to 8 weeks for the whole creation to be baked and ready for pick up. For some reason, I thought we would be able to take our creations with us that day. Overall, we really enjoyed our first time at Mudfire.
