These pictures are in the bridal suite. It's absolutely disgusting. A pile of dead bugs in the light above where you sit and do your make up. The shower looks like it's never seen a cleaner or bleach. The last pic is the coffee pot. Nasty. The owner was extremely hard to contact. There were three times we tried days ahead of time to reach her for permission to see the barn again so we could plan decorating. She didn't answer her phone and never called back. We went to the property anyway. She's a ghost until the day of the wedding. Then she won't go away. Standing around every corner. She approached every vender there including the photographer and tried to sell them on her place. It was a sales opportunity for her. They do not set up chairs and tables so make sure you bring enough people! Oh YOU have to clean them too. My niece chose this place because she liked the barn. She regrets it now. read more

I was unaware of the non refundable deposit until the receipt was provided. We booked in early February 2025 and due to health reasons, had to cancel that date in June 2025. We had hoped to reschedule but after being told the $500 deposit is non refundable, I would not rebook if it was the last place on earth. A smaller, non refundable deposit and a limit on cancellation time is understandable, however they have 7 months+ to rebook the date we requested. At first glance the venue is beautiful, it has very spacious grounds, lots of space for the bridal party to stay, and many beautiful photo opportunities. The problem is it's filthy. The sheets had dirt and hair on them and had to be washed before they could be used. There is black mold growing in the main house and one of our guests couldn't stay there due to asthma. There was a dirty diaper under the couch, the water stinks so bad I don't know how they expect a bride to shower there the day of her wedding. The fridge was disgusting, there was even a feminine pad in with the kids toys. There was blood/other bodily fluids on the walls all around the toilet in the BRIDAL SUITE. For the price they charge you would think the place would be professionally cleaned between guests. There was spots of an unknown substance on the blinds. I am overall disappointed and disgusted with this venue and cannot believe they didn't offer a partial refund. Please do better this place is filthy. read more

Reserved and paid for rental in full 2 years out from event and was contacted 20 days before wedding. Apparently new manager was living on property and didn't want to be bothered with contractual obligations for the home portion we had rented. After event was complete and everything was cleaned and left better then we found it we are told are deposits are nonrefundable. I would never do business with them or there management company again and would suggest others strongly avoid. read more

Booked 2 years out, fully paid more than 45 days out and at 20 days get an email that management has changed, the new management was living in the house and they could offer us 1. 2 hotel rooms(if available)(air show that weekend, everything was booked) 2. Offer us $ off what we had already paid(couldn't house our helpers for the weekend for that, plus now the visitors needed rentals cars to get to and from the venue) 3. Everything remained the same We had a contract, the first option should have been to keep our contract. We picked the 3rd option they offered us. We were told that absolutely nothing would change, and that bedding inside the house wouldn't change either. As we had an entire bridal party to house for the weekend since we had this planned for over a year with these people. House was absolutely not the same and room arrangements became difficult. We let them know we were cooking the entire weekend and needed full access to the kitchen, it was not all accessible. The grooms room in the barn smells horribly of mold and musty. The bridal suite air conditioner, windows, shower and storage room were absolutely filthy. And bridal suite and inside the house was never any hot water. This venue was marketed as a DIY venue, its appeal was the house to have bridal party and helpers with you. read more

Our day was beautiful and having all of our friends there was so much fun However, the owner of the venue made this the worst possible experience for us and completely ruined SOOOO many of the special moments that we have planned for so long... including kicking us and our friends out and changing all previous agreements, ON OUR WEDDING NIGHT! Very very unprofessional and rude!!! Definitely would not recommend oak hollow for any special event. So happy to finally be married to my new wife! Very appreciative to everyone that came out to support us. Our actual wedding was perfect, everything aside from the people who run Oak Hollow was fantastic! With that being said...NEVER book your wedding at Oak Hollow! For the money we paid you would think that they would have their shit together! Initially when we booked with them they told us that they would be there to help us every step of the way. At our rehearsal walk through, they were more focused on their company than our rehearsal so they didn't get the timing of the song we walked down the isle to correct so our party ended up walking in silence with no music. Then we decided to use them as our DJ because in her words "most Dj's give you a certain time frame, but I live here so I won't cut you off at a certain time". They then cut us off at 11 pm by playing "Colsing time" as if they were a bar. And also promising us that she had a whole play list put together and that we could do karaoke as well. She told us that we could either play music or do karaoke...we can't do both, and had no good music playing and multiple silent moments for minutes at a time. Then...we asked them in advance if it would be ok for everyone to stay the night and camp out so they didn't have to worry about driving home, and they said yes. Then after everyone got drunk and was having a good time despite the awful music selection they told us we could not have people stay. So they made us and everyone else leave. Literally the worst run place EVER! We paid a lot of money for a bunch of broken promises. Very disappointing. read more
