I noticed the bar has a stage for bands and room for a dance floor. As we walked in, the bartender asked if we were there for lunch at the supper club and walked us through the restaurant entrance to a hostess stand. The supper club is spacious with white tablecloths and old fashioned velvet chairs. It also looks out to the beautiful courtyard. Our server was Robyn who was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered cocktails to start. A Black Cherry Old Fashioned and a Raspberry Mojito. Both were under $10 and delicious. For lunch, I ordered the Dalles House Burger; Hand pattied burger with two cheeses, bacon, onion, lettuce, tomato, and thousand island dressing on the side $17.99. The flavors were good but I asked for it to be cooked to medium temperature and it was very well done. Disappointing. The fries were hot and crispy. My husband ordered the Fish Tacos. Three soft flour tortillas filled with crispy fried white fish, shredded cabbage, fresh pico de gallo, and a zesty cilantro lime aioli. Served with tortilla chips, sour cream, and salsa $17.99. He said the tacos were tasty but the tortilla chips tasted store bought. Despite my burger being overcooked, we did have a nice experience. We would like to try it again but for dinner.

I had the turkey BLT and my husband had the fish tacos. I liked the turkey BLT was in a spinach wrap- very tasty and a good sized portion. The fries were tasty too. Husband really enjoyed the fish tacos- he was a plate cleaner lol The view is pretty, you are not rushed, so it was an enjoyable afternoon. They do have a more casual bar area and it was quite busy. We also noted a pretty large banquet space too (200 people) Total bill for 4 meals and 4 drinks was $114. The brandy old fashioned's were $9 each and the margaritas were $12 each. In the main dining area, there is a stage for bands. We walked up to the bar which was full but found a spot to squeeze in. The wine tasting area had several wine servers behind the bar. We waited for quite some time before a wine server greeted us and asked us what we were interested in tasting. We asked what was offered as far as wine tastings as it appeared there were a couple of different wine tasting events taking place. She looked at us with confusion and asked what we were interested in tasting. We read about the cheese and wine pairing so we said we would do that. We asked about each of the wines and she put the wine & cheese sign with descriptions in front of us and asked what we wanted to do. She couldn't really explain the wine herself. Again, confused why she is asking that since it's 5 wines with a 5 cheese pairing, We said we will just go down the list. She brought us complimentary wine glasses and poured the first wine. She also handed us cheese on toothpicks we all had to figure out how to grab from her fingers. Perhaps a plate or napkin? We waited for about 15 minutes before she came back and she looked at us and said no one is helping you? We thought she would but I guess not. We proceeded down the list, jumbling the cheese on toothpicks, and waited for the next tasting but we were forgotten once again. It took a while but we made it through the tasting. I'm a red wine person but the red wines were sour in my opinion. I realize this is WI and not CA or France so obviously the wine is different. We did buy a couple of bottles of their Pony which is a Rose as well as the ale Crescent. We wanted to purchase a couple of the different cheese that we tasted but they didn't have any to purchase. The venue is beautiful and a great place for events. The wine servers definitely need training in how to service guests and learn about the wine. Also, no one wants to eat out of someone's hands.
