These guys have top notch service when it comes to taking you round South East London. I have used…read morethem a couple of times before and they are quite friendly and reliable and affordable. I tend to use public transport more but these guys have proven themselves to provide a decent service. Anyone living in the Upper Norwood / Crystal Palace area should definately be using them when they need a taxi service. Wow, sounds like am I properly plugging them on here but I thought that someone else could benefit from a reliable taxi service in the area. Being a woman and all makes is so much more difficult for me to just pick a taxi service and be happy with them. Safety is a big thing and these people make me feel safe.

Used them for…read moreyears with no problems then recently they've become extremely unreliable, they'd quote me 10 to 15 minutes for a cab or state the cab was on route and I'd end up waiting anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. It isn't the drivers that are the problem it's the people taking the bookings. I was let down around 5 times in less than a week. Completely avoid.

Unreliable! I will NOT use Panther cars again…read more I booked a taxi to take my dad to Clapham Junction for 5.30am to catch a train to Gatwick airport. I made the booking the day before, with plenty of notice. When the taxi hadn't arrived at 5.35am, I called and the woman who answered sounded half asleep. When I mentioned the booking she seemed to wake up and suddenly remember it. She then said the taxi was two minutes away and was held up by a previous booking. It was obvious when the taxi then arrived ten minutes later that she had only just sent out the order. Consequently my dad missed his train, wasted money on a pointless taxi journey (£16) and a train ticket he had previously booked to Gatwick airport (£9) and had to buy a second ticket to the airport (£17.90). This in addition to the added stress of getting to the airport in time means that I would NOT recommend Panther cars if you are looking for a reliable and good taxi service.

He charged me an extra £6, above what I was quoted, for having luggage and when I questioned him about it he was aggressive to the point of stopping in a petrol station and calling his controller, after which he rudely told me I had to pay the extra fee. I called his controller myself and the driver again stopped the car and refused to move delaying my trip for a second time. The controller was sullen and unhelpful and stated several times that he couldn't do anything about it, it wasn't up to him, and it wasn't his fault. I pointed out to him that I was a regular customer and I always took the same bags with me each time and had never experienced this charge before. I told him that I wouldn't be using his company again to which he simply said I could do whatever I wanted. Seriously flawed customer service. The driver continued on only after I agreed to the extra fee and I finally made it to my destination and paid. To my amazement, after everything, he sullenly told me he didn't have change and spent the next ten minutes going from shop to shop trying to get some coins while I waited on the street. The worst experience I've ever had in a taxi. 0 Stars if I could!
