Great service from another great london taxi firm, not bad prices either for an inner city service.read more

I tend to use public transport more but these guys have proven themselves to provide a decent service. Anyone living in the Upper Norwood / Crystal Palace area should definately be using them when they need a taxi service. Wow, sounds like am I properly plugging them on here but I thought that someone else could benefit from a reliable taxi service in the area. Being a woman and all makes is so much more difficult for me to just pick a taxi service and be happy with them. Safety is a big thing and these people make me feel safe.

I've been a loyal customer of Gemini for a number of years and to be honest, they have generally…read morebeen good, prompt, reliable etc. Last time I used them for a trip to London in the summer, a taxi arrived with no air conditioning (the summer of 2018 being the hottest on record, this mattered a lot!). When I called the office to complain I was blamed for not specifically requesting air conditioning and the lady actually said I could have taken the train!! Given I am a customer- a loyal one at that- and had booked the taxi for practical reasons, this shocked me! Promised myself I won't be using Gemini again after that!

As a student I'm used to being ripped off or belittled but Gemini drivers are always professional, fair and friendly. The phone calls are quick and simple with the operator always chirpy and helpful no matter what time I ring up (sometimes 4am - I couldn't be that happy working at 4am!). Often the journeys I take are with many people so require many stops, but unlike other taxi firms the drivers never seem annoyed and know the area so well that it doesn't present a problem. If I'm travelling alone I still feel safe, which as a young female is rare. What most impressed me, however, is that when we hired a few of their taxis to take us to the station for a night out, the driver insisted very politely that we all put our seatbelts on before he moved off. I found that unbelievably safe and assuring.

And really, what more could you want from a taxi firm? It certainly beats Speedicars in Brockley hands down for prices. They often sound a bit doolally on the phone - either a really old Jamaican guy who gives the impression he's nmaking it up as he goes along, or a younger woman who sounds equally bored, but they do get the cars to you on time.

After a wedding I called for a cab to take me home, my sisters young friend wanted to go home and had no one to take her, so I asked the cab operator if they can make one drop off on the way to my house. They agreed and the cab operator told me he wouldn't charge me to drop the girl off! He told the driver. I was grateful, may not seem like much but it's extremely rare that any cab companies will drop off someone without charging. Thanks Dolphin Cars!

My company has been using Dolphin Mini Cars for a long period of time, it always seemed to be an…read moreaffordable and reliable service. However, recently they have put me through a very traumatic experience and one that they refuse to put right. I booked a cab to take me to King Cross Station, the cab turned up nearly 10 minutes late and asked me for directions, from here I directed him to Elephant & Castle and advised him to take the road to Blackfriars Bridge, from there it would be straight forward. When we got to Elephant & Castle the driver managed to lose his way and claimed he could not set up his Satnav as he would need a postcode, eventually he got the post code from his controller and proceeded to King Cross Station, arriving an hour and 10 minutes later from when he picked me up. My train had already left as I was 20 minutes late, taking me 1 hour and 20 minutes (adding an extra 10 minutes for the driver being late) for a journey that is no longer that 35 minutes TOPS! As I missed my train I would obviously need to buy another ticket to reach my destination costing me £211.50! (My other ticket was £60 pound). Obviously, this has led me to frustration and a BIG whole in my pocket for something that was totally out of my control. I took my feelings up with Dolphin Mini Cars and this has not made me feel any better! When I first called a gentlemen took down my details and said that he will get a member of management to give me a call back, however no one did. I called the next day and a member of management answered my call, she then advised that it was a new driver and they will not hold any responsibility as its down to my directions. I think this is totally unacceptable, they should be paying the whole bill or at least offer a good will gesture if in fact they don't believe it's there responsibility, but know we have been using them for a long period of time. I totally believe it is there responsibility, as it's down to them to ensure there driver have all the proper training, know what actions to take immediately if situations like the above occur, ensure the driver has all the relevant information (like the post code) and to arrive at the pick up at the time booked! If they do not offer compensation for an issue that was caused by the drivers negligence then we won't be using there service again and advice others to think twice.

All vehicles are spotlessly clean and drivers friendly and professional. They're based in Central London, so no problems getting a car to go 'South Of The River' on a Saturday night! If you're in charge of booking passenger cars for your company, you could do much worse than Cyclone - much more affordable than other 'well known' cab companies.
