Initially when booking, we wanted to support a…read moresmall, local business. From the get go, communication was extremely poor. I was getting text messages from both the husband and wife of the company with conflicting information. When I booked online, I chose weekdays that worked for us. Their hours say they're open and available Monday-Saturday 24/7. However, they told us that they could only do weekends. We were fine with changing the dates, but it's worth noting that advertisement was not accurate. If you are not available during the weekdays, do not post that you are. It's misleading. We chose to schedule them every other week for 6 weeks while we were out of town. On the day of the first cut, they only cut the front yard because they did not bring the appropriate equipment for the backyard. Instead of going back to get the equipment they needed, they left the backyard uncut until the next scheduled appointment 2 weeks later. For the second scheduled appointment, they changed the date on us again, the morning of the service! We received a text saying they had to go to a family party that day and would cut the next day. We tried to be understanding, but the excuses kept coming. They were having car troubles the next day and never came then either. However, they did not reach out to us, we had to contact them to see when/if they were still coming. See attached pictures for text messages. We asked if they could provide their services during the week then since they canceled on us the entire weekend and they said no, they would be here the following weekend. They told us the only way to get the grass cut during the week was to pay double the price we had already paid. We said no and agreed to the following Saturday, reluctantly. So the following Saturday came and went and we didn't hear from them. I texted on Sunday and asked if they cut the grass the day before and they said no. They stated they were trying to find someone else to do it. We said no, we hired you to cut it, not someone else. They got rude with us again and stated they would call the other person off and tell them not to do it and that they didn't mind if we found someone else. We thought the conversation was over at that point, but then we received a text the next day saying that the lawn had been cut. We were confused since they told us that they were calling off their guy and not cutting the yard. We were so confused by the whole situation. To make matters worse, she threatened to call the police on us if we didn't pay them for the services they provided. We never said we wouldn't pay them, we were just trying to sort out the situation and get clarification about what was going on. We got home from vacation a week later only to find that they only cut the front yard when they charged us for the front and the back. We texted and asked them to come finish the job they had started, the job we had already paid for. They showed up in the afternoon on a Monday (but wait, I thought you weren't available on week days..?) to cut the back yard. The grass in the back was a foot long since they hadn't cut it in an entire month. When they came, we watched them cut the yard and wow, terrible quality. They didn't even cut the entire yard! They left bales of grass in the yard since they apparently decided not to bag the clippings. The wife was out in the yard walking around with the weed whacker cutting the grass instead of using the actual lawn mower. So part of the yard was cut with the weed whacker and the other part was cut with a mower... as you can imagine, it looked awful and was extremely uneven. They left without cleaning up any of the mess they made. In closing, we cannot recommend avoiding this business enough. They seem to lie a lot and make things up. They are inconsistent and the value of their service is subpar. Communication was awful and they were unprofessional and rude in their responses. Definitely need significant improvement if they plan to stay in business.
