So I needed someone to come deal with some serious tree issues at my house. I did what anybody would do. I started scouring the "google," to find the one....the one company or person (insured and licensed, of course) that wouldn't leave me homeless after paying the bill. I STRUCK OUT. I go two quotes, roughly 24 hrs apart, (the 1st at the 4 day mark, the second at the 6 day mark.) Not exactly prompt. The difference between the two was apparent, but both offered excuses about the disparity. The expensive company said, " we charge more, because of our overhead and the inherent risk insurance we carry." The other (cheaper) said they have a reduced coverage form of insurance and there was only three of them. I took their bids, thanked each of them and postponed my financial RUIN until I did some networking. Enter MLP-TREE. These guys responded like it was important. Which it was. They showed up and spent a good 10 minutes talking to me and the wife about different options we could entertain to save some money. They then took several pictures and said that I would recieve a proposal that day in my email. That evening, I recieved a simple to understand quote, which identified everything we spoke of, with a cost breakdown that of course, I compared on Angie's list and home advisor for competitiveness. They came in above average. Strike 1. I opted to sit on their quote for about a week while I stewed on the matter and then called them to come get it done. They showed up 15 minutes early from the proposed time (745am vs. 8am). Kind of caught me off guard, since no one ever shows up on time much anymore. Minus Strike 1. The speed and efficiency they completed the work was legit. When they were done, I couldn't tell there was ever a crew of men working in my yard. Solid professionals and punctual. I'll pay for that every time. The only thing I didn't really enjoy, was during their initial visit, and during their work, they approached me to offer their services fixing other projects I haven't gotten to. My fence is shot, and my house has some serious green mold stuff on the shady side of the house. I will likely take them up on the fence. The mold stuff...probably do it myself. Someday. Maybe. Not. I would most definitely recommend this company. A friend of mine said she had hired them to do some..actually a lot of repairs and upgrades to their home in the south end of Crestview and it looked like they flipped her house for practiaclly nothing. New paint, vanities in bathrooms, flooring in the bathrooms, kitchen, living room. They installed her lights, ceiling fans, washer /dryer, replaced toilets.
