Oh, you have got to give it a go. The one place to get an excellent lunch sub in the old town Antibes.
We started by ordering to our hotel as we arrived at the hotel late in the evening - food for the family and fast! Some 35 minute delivery which was free of charge! The second time we went to the O'Peach to eat in.
Seats only for some twelve or so. The staff was outstanding - late in the afternoon and the kids (5yo and 8yo boys) were hungry and eager to get back to the hotel - the waitress borrowed her widget spinners for the boys to play with as we waited for the subs. They had a clean toilet for the customers.
The local sandwiches are actually subs and these boys were the best I have ever had. We went with a Long Bacon Baguette (just the sub). It is a basic French baguette filled with onions, cheddar, mayo, mustard, beef steak, lettuce, tomato and bacon. The baguettes are not the tough ones you might find in other places and it was perfectly chewable by my 5yo after home delivery. It could be that the sub might be too tough for the younger ones right off the kitchen though. They have kids' menu with burgers and stuff.
We did not try anything else from the list as the Bacon subs were sooooo good. read more
