Great location on the Capitol Plaza. The patio is large and shaded with an unobstructed view of…read morethe Capitol. I started with the fois Gras, served with confit, toast and jam which was incredibly buttery (fatty) and mild, but WAAY over salted (to the point that I couldn't enjoy the dish) . It was like eating a pat of butter that had been rolled in course salt. A disappointing start.
For my my entree, my waiter recommended the grilled calamari, a special and not on the menu.
After the fois Gras, I admit that I was very nervous. The calamari arrived piping hot and was perfectly seasoned, perfectly grilled, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled generously with crispy pan fried garlic. Devine! The dish came with a yummy side of mixed shredded veggies (also grilled with olive oil) and rice. The day was saved!
I would return, however, would avoid the Fois Gras and would stick to the waiters recommendations.
