The people at the office of O'Keefe & McCann are knowledgeable, resourceful and pleasant. That's only if you are able to get them on the phone. Go elsewhere or proceed with extreme caution.
An example of their irresponsibility: they received a Time Is Of The Essence letter saying that my wife an I had thirteen days to close on our house. They waited seven days to tell us about this letter. After five months of hassles, inspection fees and being kept in the dark, our home deal fell through.
December, 2016. Williams office was full of wonderful conversation pieces. My wife and I were put at ease. He assured us that the home buying experience should be a happy one, and he was there to answer our questions in a timely manner as they came up. Usually you close on a house a month and a half after this first meeting. We proceeded to get strung along for more than four months. The office of O'keefe & McCann stopped answering our emails and calls, betraying our fragile trust.
As first time home buyers, my wife and I didn't realize all the red flags raining around us. We were tossed like a hot potato to everyone in the office, only to have fingers be pointed at every other character in the farce of this house sale. We lost everything after paying for inspections, fees, time, etc. Like a great lawyer, he knows how to intimidate / manipulate people with costly penalties and litigation. He did it with the Seller. Then he did it to us, the Buyer.
We took a year to write this with the hope that no one else goes through this. To be fair, you should give O'keefe & McCann a try. We're sorry to say this, but as soon as they dodge your questions, go somewhere else immediately. read more
