This is a small home bakery where they make delicious baked goods - with good old Ulster staples of potato bread, soda bread and pancakes.
We are particularly fond of the various types of tasty scones that they bake and, at the moment, we are opting for the fruit scones. The only problem - which is actually an advantage for foodies - is that their scones are only at their best on the day they are baked and boy are they excellent with good quality butter and they are noticeably not as great the next day. Isn't it great to get food not laced with preservatives?
It's the new normal to queue up outside with only one customer allowed in at a time (it's a very small store) and when I was in for scones I also had a good cappuccino. Four delicious fruit scones and a take away cappuccino for £5.70 and friendly service, what's not to like! read more
