My grandson and I toured the Ring of Kerry with O'Connor Auto Tours. We both thought that our guide, John, was hilarious, lots of jokes and impeccable comic timing. He was also very knowledgable, kind and friendly. He frequently walked the length of the bus chatting with each group. I knew that he was actually making sure that everyone was aboard, but it was so much more personal than taking a count. The scenery was, of course, fabulous, and we got a lot of time off the bus to enjoy it. I would personally skip the bog village and grab an Irish coffee at the pub instead, it is a poor example of a museum of this type. (The traditional farms in Killarney National Park are a hundred times more interesting, as is the folk museum at Cashel.) The sheep dog demonstration was fascinating. read more
