That is not something I ever expected to see but I guess it speaks to clientele. Two massage tables per room with a curtain to separate. The lady got ON the table to give my massage. Never had this happen anywhere I've been! The table kept buzzing because her phone was on and it was going off. She was texting with one hand and massaging my foot with the other. The door notification sound kept going off. Nothing about this was relaxing. It was supposed to be a 90 minute massage but more like 60 minutes. At the end she had the nerve to ask for more money. I absolutely without a doubt do NOT recommend this place. If you are looking for something that resembles a spa this isn't even close. The massage chairs at the mall will give you a better experience than this place.

She told me early on what to expect, told me to feel free to tell her if more or less pressure was needed in any area, and asked if there were certain areas that needed more focus than others. With that said, this is where the talking stopped. And I appreciate that! After telling her the areas that were especially troublesome, she set up me with some headphones and relaxing music, turned off the lights, and began. Seriously, it was almost pitch black in the room..which I personally think is fantastic. The massage table was probably one of the most comfortable ones I've been on as well. Very cushioned, padded, and warm. My last massage, at a competitors spa in Paducah, was conducted with very harsh, bright lights, and a somewhat hard table While the decor was attractive, the lights made it especially difficult to really relax. At "Me Thyme", this was not at ALL the case. I could have easily fallen asleep. :) Additionally, you could tell that Elizabeth really loved her job. Some people go through the motions, and maybe the massage is fine...but it was clear that Elizabeth cared about her work, and wanted you to walk away in a much better state/condition than you arrived in. Now..with that said, I do have one teensy teensy thing I would change about my experience. That would be the candle in my room. Unlike some spas which use electric candles, this was a real burning candle. I'm somewhat sensitive to fragrances, and the candle proved to be somewhat of an irritant for my allergies, etc. For most this probably isn't an issue at all, and a real candle certainly adds to the ambiance...however, if you have allergies, like me, it is something you might want to be aware of.

I came in as a walk in, I was asked if I wanted two massage therapists for an hour instead of one…read morehour. Considering I ran a marathon on Saturday I thought it was a good idea. At the 35 minute mark, one of the therapists said I was almost done with my hour and if I wanted to do 15 more minutes for an extra $40 dollars. I pointed out the time I had called in, drove over, got ready and when the massage had started. They quickly changed their tone. Not only was the massage subpar they will try to find a way to overcharge. I can confidently say I will not be returning.

Her hands are strong and gentle. The atmosphere is serene and calming and clean. She will ask you to fill out a form that helps her understand your general health and possible surgeries you may have had. She is very thorough. You will be well taken care of and your body will feel better immediately. I highly recommend calling her for an appointment. Her son does reflexology but I have not explored that as of yet so I cannot comment. I continue to see Jenny as part as my healing. Definitely A plus!
