The restaurant attached to it served one of the best pilgrim menus I had On the entire Camino! Huge portions of gourmet food! One of the best tomato salads ensalata caprese style ! The cafe was charming and served a wonderful breakfast! Only downside was this was the most massive bunk room of communal living I ever saw!! Huge maybe 30-50 bunks! It was big. I might have contacted bed bugs here but hey that's the Camino.

They offer a wide menu with tons of healthy options, I tried a salad that although I don't remember its name was delicious. My aunt had a gazpacho that was equally tasty and we shared some appetizers that were just as great. When I walked to the bathroom I noticed the albergue side of the joint. I have to say that I would've liked to stay there and probably will in the future. The bathroom was ample and incredibly clean, and although I didn't see the rooms I can only imagine that the bathroom reflects upon the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. It's also near the entrance of Arzua which is convenient for tired pilgrims.

I'm a firm believer that the environment in which I study affects the grade that I receive. I…read morecould not think of a better study space than Cafeteria Planeta. On a sunny day, I bring my DELE books, order a glass of Albariño, and people-watch from the sidewalk. I'm also a firm believer in the Spanish bar value proposition. When I order a glass of wine, I love to receive some olives or a montadito to snack on. At Planeta, I am presented with a bowl of olives, a full plate of montaditos, and half a tortilla espanola. (Granted, the tortilla is not the best [1], but it's the thought that counts!) For 2.30 euro, I am satiated, relaxed, and leave the bar much better prepared for my exam. There's one waiter in particular who speaks a little bit of English. He speaks to me in English, I speak to him in Spanish. Let's hope the conversation portion of the DELE tests life skills, such as asking for a Terras Gauda albariño... [1] The tortilla is very flat, not very fluffy, and slightly dry.
