We are American travelers and were staying with in-laws near Viveiro. 8 of us were on our way back from Ourense and stopped in Lugo to break up the long drive. I thought we would have a quick drink and some light fare and get on the road. My brother-in-law made a quick reservation and we found Campos. We had gone to the thermal hot springs in Ourense and a few of us were dressed in jeans; I was in a heavy black hooded sweatshirt. We later recalled feeling uncomfortable to realize that we were in such a fancy place, where everyone else was clearly dressed for fine dining, and I was a little shocked by the prices. The room was beautiful and tastefully decorated, with lovely lighting, bright enough yet not overbearing. Our meals and desserts were served on very lovely handmade pottery (modern, not rustic). All of our food was magnificent and the desserts were also very special. We are grateful to the wait staff who made our evening so special!
