We were all extremely apprehensive about how the day would progress and we had dreaded this day for a long while now. I was impressed with the Heart and Vascular wing as it was very clean and quite beautiful. Everything went very smoothly and everyone was very professional. I'd like to thank a few people that acted extremely professionally and should be commended. *Specifically Mary who took care of getting mom checked in and prepped for surgery and took care of an issue we thought we would have to deal with but didn't. It was greatly appreciated and unexpected. She was also very patient and knowledgeable. *Kevin (or Keith lol just kidding) who took care of mom during recovery. He was gentle, steadfast, and devoted to meeting moms needs. He was very patient and caring. He truly cares about the safety of the patients. *Beth who was the PA throughout and voice of reason in the end. Thank you for bringing common sense into the equation when it was desperately needed. The Doctor of Anesthesia (regretfully I forget his name) was truly a class act. He had a bedside manner that diffused worries mom had about the surgery and really made a difference by instilling a sense of confidence in us about how the day would progress. Dr Lee was great. I thank him for his skill and for the team that supports him. Thank you all for doing what you do.

I called to request my prescrition to be sent to the pharmacy next to my new house, because they have sent to my old house 20 miles away and the staff person person said "Can't you pick it up in the other pharmacy?". She didn't give me the change to present my self and started calling mam too many times and questioning me in a bad manner. Until I told her I was not going to speak up with her no more. The first priority in a customer service at a doctor's office if to make the patient to feel confortable and be helpful and not integorrate and give a sermon. If this lady had time to give me a sermon she had time to help me. I am sure I am not the only being treated poorly! It is a pitty because the doctors in this office are pretty good! They should train who they contract to be face-to-face with patients!!!!

I drove a long ways In a lot of traffic to get to my appointment. I called to let them know I would be late. When arriving to the facility, the parking was terrible. I circled round and round with 4 other cars desperately looking for a space. When I got to the lab the receptionist spoke to the lab technician about my arrival. I could hear her saying, " she was suppose to be here at 9:30." He came back and wanted to reschedule me for a 15 minute procedure. It is amazing, knowing that the facility has out grown the parking lot, that you would not fit in a heart patient that communicated with you, and did everything in my power to get there for an important test. I knew from previous experiences with this lab, not late just overall attitude that would probably be the case. I hoped that I was wrong, but no the feelings I already had were right! Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere! The doctors are very nice.

I saw Dr El Haddad in January 2026. He told me I needed heart surgery because of a bicuspid value…read morethat was no longer functioning properly. He said I'd be dead in 2 years and would have had multiple visits to the ER and admittances to the hospital. He referred me to the cardiac surgeon. The idea of having my chest cut open and the months of recovery and pain terrified me. The surgeon explained both TAVR and SAVR procedures to me, listened to my questions and concerns and said I was a viable candidate for the TAVR. I went back to Dr El Haddad who told me that if wanted to do do TAVR I could wait 2-4 years. Remember, he told me the 1st time I'd be dead in 2 years and would have had many visits to the hospital over those 2 years. I told him I was more interested in the quality of my life now, not how long the valve lasted. He said scheduled another echo for July and said come back then. He did not listen to, or care about my choice, my life. He dismissed my concern for the quality of my current life. He totally invalidated my autonomy. Then in an email follow up he asked me when was the last time I had a Dr spend this much time explaining things to me. He wanted to cut my chest open and thought I was taking too much of his time. Avoid this Dr, women especially. He doesn't care about you. Side note, he's registered Medtronic valve guy. I think that's the only one he know how to use. I had a bicuspid valve with an oval opening. Medtronic valve is a hard, round, steel valve that would only have worked in an open heart setting. He gave my PII to Medtronic who harassed me repeatedly until I told them I'd had surgery with the S3UR valve made by Edwards because their valve was unsuitable for my situation. He gave my PII information to someone I had not authorized. I did have the S3UR, which is the latest technology on the market. He didn't know about it, or doesn't know how to use it. Don't trust Dr El Haddad. See someone else, outside Inova's in-house cabal.

My absolute favorite doctor Dr. Lim has left the practice so I've been hopping around whoever has been available and have found each person that I have met has been incredibly kind, smart, and sensitive to whatever issues I am facing at the time. The back and forth communication between the app is amazing and has saved me hours of my life .. and the ability to make same day appointments is life changing. They have a children's practice as well, which I am highly considering switching to as I can see it being easy to schedule sick and well visits, get doctors notes, etc. My company used to pay One Medical Group as a benefit but it is so good that I continue to pay out of pocket. I am so glad that Amazon has purchased the company to make this type of quality health care more accessible for all.

Even better, my wait time was only about 10 minutes to get that lab work. And I checked the app ahead of time to figure out lower volume times to visit--yay, technology! My lab tech kept me smiling through the short appointment and let me know when I could look for results through the app or from my primary care provider. All together, this is an excellent practice and well worth the annual fee.
