We have purchased numerous pieces of land all cash all over Canada and have never EVER been asked that, even though the lawyer tried to cover his lack of professionalism with "its a standard question" I guess his envy of some people being able to pay cash for things was too much for him to keep in check. Would not recommend this firm. We chose another firm after losing the deposit money and the land contact and deal was completed in record time and not one person asked if it the cash used to purchase land was drug money!
