I wish that I had more time when I was here but trains do not wait for you to shop! I spotted O & Co on my way down to track 19. Luckily I had a few minutes because the shelves and shelves of beautifully packaged olive oil were calling to me. Maybe some people think evoo is just something you use to cook up some chicken or dress your salad but oil is very important to the success of a dish. The guy working there clearly understood because we started talking about truffle oils and what you can do with them. Plus I give this guy credit for handling a costumer who thought he was clever to "threaten" him if his guests were not impressed with the Portuguese olive oil he picked out for him. I got a set if white truffle infused oil, black truffle infused oil, and white truffle salt. The set was on sale and was at a great price, even if it had not been on sale. Recently renovated, this branch of O & Co. now resembles most of its sibling stores with lighter colors, a more open set up and more of a rustic appearance, based upon the O & Co.'s first store. I was already a fan of this store before its renovation and that hasn't changed. Recently i went to this O & Co. to purchase some gifts and of course could not help but purchase some "gifts" for myself! There is literally a dizzying array of oils, balsamic vinegars, seasonings and now self care products like olive oils soaps! The staff here is always super friendly and they are more than willing to explain the various items they sell and allow you to have a taste. I always feel like an important customer when I'm in here and that has a lot to do with the staff. Bravo on the service! I've bought tons of items here but among my favorites are their chili olive oil which has a wonderful spiciness to it. Their balsamics are super tasty and I recently purchased their olive oil mayo which is totally delicious! I'm also a big fan of their balsamic gift set which has several flavors in small vials (think test tube like containers). O & Co. is simply awesome and I look forward to shopping there for years to come! read more

LOVE THIS PLACE. I heard about it will reading Real Food, Fake Food. It was listed as a place where you could get real, high quality olive as opposed to the fake blended oils sold in grocery stores. I don't know if I am more impressed with their olive oils and selection or the service. They will let you taste any of the oils and provide recommendations based on your needs. I have never been disappointed. Last time I was there I also bought one of their pestos. Auh-maz-ing! Tiny jar, didn't even use all of it. No watery leftovers in the bottom of the pan like with grocery store sauce and pesto. Really impressed. Very flavorful. Can't say enough good things about this place. I ordered Olive oil and Vinegar that we cannot get in the store like i have in the past - usually no issues. Not sure what is happening at O olive Oil but if you call, you get no answer and a message that states "voice mailbox FULL. After submitting my order i forgot to input the discount code, i immediately reached out and rec'd a note from Carol 6 days later which was annoying after calling and calling the customer service number. Finally Carol emails me apologizing and says will apply the discount and also include a "little something extra " in your order for the inconvenience. Guess what! package arrived 10 days later and nothing extra in package - disappointing! Also, no credit applied -i again e-mail and no response. I always ordered from them and no issues, something is Clearly wrong at O Oline Oil! Buyer Beware here - order at your own risk, I WILL NEVER ORDER HERE AGAIN AND TELLING FRIENDS TO DO THE SAME. I love me some olive oil, so I was thrilled to find this tiny specialty shop in Grand Central Station -- especially since I usually whip through Grand Central, focusing on getting from one end to the other and not really paying attention to the shops. Although packed to the brim with endless types of olive oil from different countries and years along with olive oil-friendly accessories (various glass storage containers, nozzles for pouring, funnels, etc), they also carried numerous soaps, lotions and balms made from olive oil. Also included in the merchandise were various meat rubs, tapenades, seasonings, bread sticks, pastas, and crackers -- everything you could need for a meal utilizing that 2006 bottle of Azienda del Carmine Frantoio from Le Marche. I was sprinkling a 2 year old bottle of olive oil from O & Co. on my salad recently and I could still taste the nuances. That's good stuff. Oil doesn't usually last that long without getting rancid. I first came upon O & Co.'s selection in the West Village. I kept on by-passing it on my trips to Amy's Bread or Murray's Cheese. Come on, high end olive oil? Please. But one day, I did it. I went in and I've been returning for olive oil from here ever since. It's not cheap. I don't think there's a 16.8 fl oz bottle that goes for less than 38 dollars, but this is so worth it for a gift or even for yourself, if you do olive oil and vinegar on your salad often, treat yourself to O&Co. They give you small ice cream tasting spoons of oil and you'd think this is disgusting (imagine doing this with your supermarket grade canola oil) but the stuff here is so good you can have it straight. And if you don't think there are distinctions between grassy or buttery olive oil, I dare you try the oils here and tell me you can't tell the difference. read more

Not only were the two hotties working completely friendly and helping, but they were very unintrusive--just how I like sales staff to be. In addition to all of their regional oils, you can find: tapenade, vinegar, honey, fig preserves, lotions, and creams. I really wanted to buy the olive oil lamp, but I decided against it. When I asked them for a business card, they whipped out this cute little card that looked like it belonged around a bottle of olive oil, and then proceeded to stamp it with their information. I am always running around GCS and for some odd reason, have never stopped by here. Probably one of the biggest mistakes of my life - on par with avoiding dark chocolate with chili flakes. This place is HEAVEN! If you don't like olive oil, you WILL after leaving this place. Truffle olive oil is god's gift to mankind. Go for white truffle oil. (You're welcome!) L'Extrême (pâte à tartiner) is heroin. You can freeze it, you can eat it melted, you can eat it with a spoon (no, I've never done that, ever), you can be civilized and spread it on crackers. Go nuts! Think Nutella but *better* and healthier. If Jerome is around, he will become your new best friend. There is absolutely no one more amazing or knowledgeable at that place. The man is a treasure. The olive oils and vinegar are excellent for the most part. However, this is not an honest company. I wrote an honest review for their citrus balsamic vinegar noting that it was sour, had little citrus notes, lacked a crisp vinegar flavor and did not mix well with many of the olive oils that I had purchased. I suggested other vinegars from O&CO that were wonderful. O&CO has refused to post the review. Additionally, their basil olive oil is a best seller and magically when there is a sale, the large tin is not available. Hmm!!! Very disappointing from a company that has so many wonderful products to offer. If anyone knows of a competitor, I would greatly appreciate the information. read more
