Our daughter had just left Tutor Time a month and half ago because we moved to Long Island. She had…read morebeen go been attending Tutor Time of Brooklyn from 1.5 to 2.5 years old for a little less than a year. Let me get to the point: Whatever minor complaints you see from the other reviews, they most likely have no idea how good they've got it. Tutor Time of Brooklyn is probably the best day/child care in NYC. Prior to us moving, my wife and I have toured DOZENS of day/childcare facilities and none of them come close to having the quality service and care that this place has. From what I've seen, this place has the most amenities. Virtually everything is provided for like diapers. If you've visited any other childcare centers you'd know that's not common. Whenever my daughter loses something in class, the teachers and assistants take initiative and SCOUR the school to find it for us, even if it's something as insignificant as a hair clip. They'd always make sure our daughter had a clean diaper before we take her home. I cannot stress enough how caring and attentive they are - and this includes the director Stephanie. Stephanie's office is always open to children and parents. Any inquiries or issues you have, she resolves them right away. You'll sometimes find her in the classrooms taking care of the kids because she's not above that. And good luck finding another day/childcare in NY that gives parents webcam access. It's virtually non-existent! I had told the staff prior to leaving that my wife and I will probably miss this place more than our daughter. The school that we've had to settle with at the moment is nowhere near as good as this place.

What a wonderful place. The staff really showed my son lots of love over the last 3 years. They are…read morereally good to the kids and they have a great setup with many rooms so the kids stay with others close to their age. They feed the children as well which makes life easier for us but also got my son more comfortable with trying new foods. I highly recommend Tutor Time, can't wait for my daughter to start there soon.

As every Mom, I visited many day care centers and even tried some of them for my little one before…read morewe made our decision to end up with RHCC. I would like to bring some facts that made my evaluation of 5/5 for RHCC: 1) Significant progress from academic knowledge (counting, singing, spell etc), social skills (sharing, taking care of others, team work, interaction, etc), general rules (communication with reasoning, being polite etc.), English language (we speak non-English at home purposely) and other aspects. And we realize these progress just after half an year when my little one was still younger than 3 yrs. 2) Positive energy. No matter how a day care runs, as the parents and your little one have to feel the positive energy there. My one is happy all the time, and her classmates are happy to see her everyday. I can feel that she is being loved here, from everyone. And most importantly, she loves back. Nothing can beat to have a happy kid. 3) Loving and responsible faculty. Amazing teachers only because they care. For an example, my daughter's teacher will encourage her eat veggie first before she eat all the rice; they will use different strategy to help with napping time; they provided a 3 pages full evaluation to each child twice a year to parents and schedule appointment with us after; they took pictures for each child during their daily activities and print them out for parents; they arrange different party and events during holidays for kids all year round; they do crafts/drawing almost everyday and my daughter bring home projects made in school all the time.... 4) Very reliable owner. I really like the fact that RHCC has a shared ownership, since at least one of the two will be available in the office everyday/ every single minute when my kid is there. It really matters because staff could behave differently if the owner is absent (I found out this fact when we tried with another day care center.). They do have clear rules/policy regarding food and other things. This is good because we know it is a reliable place to keep our child. They are very talkable and flexible to meet our need for pick up time and other request. 5) Last but not least, security. RHCC has a separate area in the front door for parents pick up. But they locked the inner door to have additional security. I liked it. I will have my little one continue her education and fun with RHCC. Wish the success to every kid over there.

When we took the tour one of the owners walked with us for over an hour and was very thorough and detailed about every aspect of the place. He was very transparent and explained everything exhaustively, I like that. RHCC has a large backyard with playsets, swings, slides, etc. Patient and knowledgeable teachers, the whole place is monitored with cameras, you have to get through two doors (that can only be buzzed open) and the teachers/aides go through a background check. I like security like any parent so this made me feel comfortable. They're flexible on their hours and if your kid isn't potty trained yet they change on premises (if you're comfortable with that.) Plus the thing that sold me the most on the place was the children themselves seemed legitimately happy while they were playing, etc. so that clued me in it wasn't a big act. We'll be taking our child back.

My child started there about 2 years ago and she has learned so much. Our family has two children enrolled at Honeydew at the Church Avenue location -- our son is…read morenormally downstairs at the Playhouse, and our daughter is upstairs at the Kiddy Loft. Both started when they were four months old, so Honeydew has been a part of our lives since the very beginning. To put it simply, Honeydew has been an amazing partner in these early years of raising our children. Both of our kids love their programs. They attend for ten hours a day, five days a week, and they are excited to walk in each morning and happy every afternoon when we pick them up. They have strong and meaningful relationships with their teachers, whom they love, and their relationships with the other "friends" at Honeydew are a source of joy for both them and us. From a parent's perspective, we deeply value the care they receive, the enrichment activities that make up their schedule, and the strong feeling of partnership we have with their teachers, which is reinforced with every single interaction and conversation. We recently decided to have our kids return to Honeydew, as part of the first wave of children coming back into the program post-COVID-19 closing. We felt some trepidation making that decision, but we couldn't be more pleased with how it has gone. Honeydew admin has done a tremendous job setting out appropriate health and safety protocols, and the teachers and staff are clearly implementing those measures without fail. The teachers, who have all tested negative for the virus, are incredibly careful with their own PPE, they are rigorous in taking temperatures at both drop-off and pick-up, and the Kiddy Loft space itself is clearly as pristine and well-maintained as it has ever been. We feel completely comfortable sending our kids there every day. And the kids are thrilled to be back. Our son giggled with excitement on our drive to school that first Monday, and his little sister toddled off happily that same morning. They love being back at Honeydew, remain as close as ever with their teachers, and -- at least speaking for the older one -- are looking forward to having more friends around soon.

There are good teacher and bad like any other school, but one of my son's teacher was barely out of college and her brother was in my son's class. A lot of nepotism and very much a cult. My son has an IEP due to epilepsy (btw not a standar but the law to be ollowed) and they refused to honor it. And I quote "if we give your son extra time then we would have to give everyone extra time" clearly displaying their lack of understanding what an IEP is. We handed the nurse a picture of our son and details in his epilepsy. Copies enough for every teacher and staff that he would be in contact with. Two months into the trimester, not one teacher knew he had epilepsy nor received our packet. There were so many problems with this beautiful school with their hard wood decorative cut logs, newly constructed labs, fish tanks and dogs and peacocks roaming the grounds. We were lured in by the appearance but that all it was. The school is very popular so my son was crammed into a classroom with 40 students!! Very disappointed and wanted to let the principal know when we decided to leave. He rudely and unceremoniously could care less about constructive criticism and was clear that we were leaving so he had nothing to say to us. Be better human beings Kellenburg let alone Catholics.

All of his teachers are warm, thoughtful and loving and we can tell that he is learning and growing because of them. He's just over four years old and he's already writing and sounding out words, I have no doubt he'll be reading by 5.. And on top of that he spends all day learning in Spanish! And while he's a little shy speaking at home he will just put full sentences sometimes out of the blue and you can tell he understands everything. I also love how beautiful and bright the classrooms are. If your kid is going to be somewhere all day you want it to be in a welcoming and comfortable environment. I wish the school went beyond age 6 because we would definitely keep him here throughout elementary school. The "chaos" and employee turnover mentioned in the other review seems like just a personal sensitivity. It's all felt pretty stable and reliable to us. Obviously Covid throws everyone curveballs but I think the school does a great job with communication and management in those situations. I don't know what else you can really expect in these times!
