They offer a good selection of cakes and a soup(?), pasta and salad buffet for eating. I often go for their meat pies. As always, you could wish for a larger portion. The café has two rooms and a back yard for seating. I believe even outdoor seating by the street. Especially the smaller room by the counter is a bit loud when a larger group come together. A bit cramped but cozy.

My daughter and I are gluten free and thought we would not have an option or if we did it would be average. Well, it was terrific, we had a coconut pastry and a sesame seed pastry. Both hit the spot. Got back to the bus and talked with the group and I couldn't remember the name of this place and other tourists had gone back to get additional deserts from her. Everyone enjoyed it very much, great job. We sat on a bench outside and enjoyed the deserts.

Espresso House is like the Nordic twin of Starbucks, except in that the coffee beans used here…read moreoutshine the competition across the pond, so they say. Actually, let me rephrase that. Various coffee and espresso chains and cafes in Europe supersede the chains here in the US. Coffee consumed across various European countries have yielded a smoother experience on the palate: there is less acidity, more depth all while remaining robust and balanced. I prefer less acidity and smoothness. That being said, these chains deliver amazing lattes. Never had such a pleasant creamy experience and to the point of being decadent. While I find the pastries in their Copenhagen branches to be a bit better, their croissants can compete on a smaller scale with those sampled in Paris. The layout of their seating areas is also equally warm and inviting. When locals roost, they do so unobtrusively: ie, share conversations in a hushed manner. So unlike the many shouting and loud verbal matches as evident every morning at various local Starbucks in the Bay Area. Who knew those aging lungs would yield such audibly jarring content! We went to several Espresso Houses during our stay in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway and the experience was the same: beautiful and inviting spaces, great assortment of delectable pastries, and amazing espresso drinks.

The selection is enough to be satisfied. The only thing missing is OJ and decent bread, which is a shame since they bake their own! The buffet is SEK 89 - add another 20 and you get thin pancakes. They have "kaviar" to the egg. Free copy of local paper GP! Free wifi. Wednesdays at 4 they have afternoon tea which looks nice. Never tried it though. They have a nice backyard for outdoor seating. It is large - but it still manages to be cosy, which is amazing. There's tons of seating so even when it's busy you can find a spot, but there are also several rooms and even little alcoves so you can still find a spot that feels like you're tucked away on your own. I haven't tried the outdoor seating but I appreciate that they have it! I am a total breakfast addict and I love the fact that they have breakfast menus every day. I ordered the scone menu one day and loved it - they bake everything themselves and the scone was grainy, dark, and satisfying. I also highly recommend the Moroccan green tea blend. The décor is absolutely delightful. I love the bright, sunny colors and the cushions and blankets everywhere. The little sun logo on the cups makes me happy. The bathrooms are clean and the wifi is free. Personally I would definitely rather go here than just another Espresso House or Wayne's. They've got snacks and delicious lunches too - try it!

The furniturea are all odd and there are many cozy cozy chairs, but none of them are suitable for eating breakfast. You know, they are low with even lower coffee tables that makes you "eat with the chin between the legs". Then you can choose the ordinary tables - but they are on the other hand not cozy cozy... Well, as usual - I tried their breakfast. Which passed my test! You get hot beverage (coffee in your own pot), egg (with "kaviar" for the Swedes who carve for that), yoghurt with jam and a good sandwich. The egg is not freshly boiled, but not "fridge cold" either, so I believe they were boiled this morning at least. Do not accept AMEX.
